Bristol Riverside Theatre to Stage BUS STOP, 9/29-10/18

Bristol Riverside Theatre opens its 2015-2016 season with the classic romantic comedy Bus Stop by Pulitzer Prize-winner William Inge, running September 29-October 18.  Directed by Susan D. Atkinson, the ensemble cast features Broadway veteran Mark Jacoby joined by Mike Boland, Linda Elizabeth, Barbara McCullough, Bruce Sabath, David Sitler, Grant Struble, and Jessica Wagner.

Quintessence Theatre Group to Open 6th Season with ROMEO & JULIET and THE MANDRAKE

Quintessence Theatre Group launches its sixth season of progressive classic theatre with Shakespeare's romantic tragedy ROMEO AND JULIET presented in rotating repertory with Wallace Shawn's celebrated translation of Machiavelli's sex comedy THE MANDRAKE. A nine actor repertory ensemble comprised of Quintessence's best and director Alexander Burns will continue to establish Quintessence's brand of full throttle epic classic theatre for today. ROMEO AND JULIET will begin previews on Wednesday, September 30 at 7pm and open on Saturday, October 3 at 8pm.  THE MANDRAKE will begin previews on Wednesday, October 14 at 7pm and open on Saturday, October 17 at 8pm. Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey to Stage Bill Cain's EQUIVOCATION

Next up on the Main Stage, The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey will present the New Jersey premiere of Bill Cain's Equivocation. When the Bard and his troupe of players receive a royal commission to dramatize the events surrounding the infamous Gunpowder Plot, the artist must confront the demons of his past, his present, and his obligations to the truth and artistic integrity. Equivocation was described in Variety as "one of the most bracingly intelligent, sizzlingly theatrical American plays in a decade."

The Timeline Projects' world premiere of Victor Lesniewski's (Khardal, Berkeley Rep; Cloven Tongues, The Wild Project) Civil War spy thriller, COURIERS AND CONTRABANDS, developed with and directed by Kareem Fahmy (The In-Between, Noor Theatre; Asst. Director Once, New York Theatre Workshop). COURIERS AND CONTRABANDS will play a four-week limited engagement at the TBG Theatre (312 W 36th Street, 3rd Floor, New York, NY 10018). Performances begin Saturday, September 5th and continue through Saturday, September 26th, 2015 . Opening Night is Friday, September 11th at 8:00 pm. George Merrick Joins Cast of CLEVER LITTLE LIES Off-Broadway; New Opening Night Set

Producers Joan Raffe, Jhett Tolentino, and Douglas Denoff announced today that George Merrick will complete the cast of two time Tony Award-winner Joe DiPietro's critically acclaimed new comedy Clever Little Lies. Previews begin Friday, September 18th for a strictly limited 16-week engagement. Opening night, originally announced for Wednesday, October 14th, is now set for Monday, October 12th at the Westside Theatre (Upstairs) (407 West 43rd Street).

Parking is free and available on site. Purchases can be made with cash or credit card, no checks. Proceeds go toward the purchase of equipment and tools for Syracuse Stage's production shops, which include props, sets, and costumes.
