AMERICAN OPERA PROJECTS (AOP) is excited to collaborate with acclaimed Turkish-American Composer Kamran Ince on his latest work and operatic 'first', Judgment of Midas.
In its ninth year, Modfest is Vassar College's exploration of the arts of the 20th and 21st centuries. This year's program will celebrate the visual arts, dance, drama, film, literature, poetry, and music in a series of events that will take place across the Vassar campus from January 20 through February 5, 2011.
Neo-Baroque dance-theatre group Company XIV proudly presents the World Premiere of Nutcracker Rouge, a Baroque - Burlesque confection of dance, theatre and sumptuous design. The show is directed, choreographed and conceived by Austin McCormick, with a script adapted and written by Jeff Takacs. Nutcracker Rouge runs from December 10, 2010 to January 9, 2011 in a limited engagement at Company XIV's theatre space, located at 303 Bond Street, between Union & Sackett in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn. Company XIV is donating 50% of the show's proceeds to the Ali Forney Center in New York City.
