AMERICAN OPERA PROJECTS (AOP) is excited to collaborate with acclaimed Turkish-American Composer Kamran Ince on his latest work and operatic 'first', Judgment of Midas.

In its ninth year, Modfest is Vassar College's exploration of the arts of the 20th and 21st centuries. This year's program will celebrate the visual arts, dance, drama, film, literature, poetry, and music in a series of events that will take place across the Vassar campus from January 20 through February 5, 2011.

Neo-Baroque dance-theatre group Company XIV proudly presents the World Premiere of Nutcracker Rouge, a Baroque - Burlesque confection of dance, theatre and sumptuous design. The show is directed, choreographed and conceived by Austin McCormick, with a script adapted and written by Jeff Takacs. Nutcracker Rouge runs from December 10, 2010 to January 9, 2011 in a limited engagement at Company XIV's theatre space, located at 303 Bond Street, between Union & Sackett in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn. Company XIV is donating 50% of the show's proceeds to the Ali Forney Center in New York City.

Gotham Arts Exchange and Symphony Space present Stam-Pede, an afternoon of the very best in percussive dance by eight celebrated companies. From soulful flamenco to lively Irish dance to innovative body percussion to exhilarating tap dance and mesmerizing Bharatanatyam, this impressive collection of companies offers something for everyone who loves the power and precision of percussive dance. Stam-Pede will be presented Sunday, January 9, 2011 at 3pm at Peter Norton Symphony Space, 2537 Broadway at 95th Street, NYC. Peter Mayer, Billboard charting composer and guitarist from Jimmy Buffett's Coral Reefer, Spiritus vocal ensemble and Voices in Unity, the 85 member choir of Unity of New York, will present their 10th anniversary concert of Stars and Promises - The Story of Christmas at Town Hall, 123 West 43rd Street on Thursday, December 9th at 7:30 PM. Peter Mayer whose music has topped the charts created, 'Stars and Promises' with his brother Jim Mayer 10 years ago. This is a celebration of that anniversary and introduces into it Spiritus, the close harmony vocal ensemble whose self titled album was recently released and Voices in Unity the Unity of New York choir whose musical diversity includes selections ranging from Gospel to Broadway and Pop to Jazz.
