Hell in a Handbag Productions is pleased to kick-off its 2015-16 season with the Midwest premiere of MIRACLE!, the wickedly funny parody of The Miracle Worker as reimagined by Dan Savage, one of the country's leading writers/speakers/podcasters on sex, sexuality and GLBTQ issues, and directed by Derek Van Barham. MIRACLE! will play May 14 - July 10, 2015 at the newly-remodeled Mary's Attic, 5400 N. Clark St. in Chicago's Andersonville neighborhood.

Hell in a Handbag Productions kicks off their 2012 season with SEXY BABY, the new 'docu-musical,' by Artistic Director and resident playwright David Cerda. SEXY BABY takes audiences behind the scenes of the fascinatingly addictive world of child beauty pageants. This show runs tonight, April 26 through June 16 every day (with some exceptions) at 7:30pm.

After six sold-out houses and repeated audience requests, Far From Freud has added an additional performance by popular demand: Friday, January 30 at 8 PM. Due to the schedule at Village Players, this will be the final extension of the production; no more performances are possible. Tickets for this performance are expected to sell-out quickly. Far From Freud confronts the challenges of life and follows the quest for new beginnings. Though the characters are all seeing the same therapist, they come to learn that their greatest source of comfort and healing is in their relationships with each other. Featuring a vibrant, modern score, Far From Freud is a moving and powerful celebration of the strength of the human spirit. The show is written by Phil Riegle and directed by Christopher Pazdernik.
