Today, producers Brian Moreland and Ron Simons announced casting for the world premiere of Thoughts of a Colored Man, the new play by Keenan Scott II, directed by Steve H. Broadnax III, and choreographed by Millicent Marie Johnnie in a co-production with Syracuse Stage and Baltimore Center Stage.

The Old Globe presents the U.S. premiere of Life After, a rapturously beautiful and stirring new musical withbook, music, and lyrics by Britta Johnson, directed by the Globe's own Barry Edelstein, opening Friday, March 29 at 8:00 p.m. Withchoreography by Ann Yee and music supervision, arrangements, and orchestrations by Lynne Shankel, Life After will run March 22 - April 28, 2019 on the Donald and Darlene Shiley Stage in the Old Globe Theatre, part of the Conrad Prebys Theatre Center. Preview performances run March 22-28. Life After is produced by special arrangement with Yonge Street Theatricals, Linda Barnett, and Natalie Bartello. Single tickets start at $32.00 and are now on sale. Da Camera of Houston celebrates 31 years of presenting chamber music and jazz concerts with the announcement of its 2018/2019 season, themed "Time Future Time Past." The title is taken from Four Quartets, a poem by T.S. Eliot: "Time present and time past / Are both perhaps present in time future / And time future contained in time past…" With a lineup spanning styles and genres, Da Camera's 2018/2019 season explores the progression of time. The season also marks visionary artist director Sarah Rothenberg's 25th anniversary season with Da Camera.
