After winning three Tony Awards for Best Revival of a Musical, Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role to Sutton Foster and Best Choreography to Kathleen Marshall, Roundabout's Todd Haimes announced to press that the hit production would extend further into 2012 on Broadway and would then tour in the Fall of 2012.

On Sunday, June 12, the 65th annual Tony Awards Ceremony awarded Broadway's best with the famed honor, the winners selected by industry producers and additional movers and shakers. Sesame Street is an American children's television series created by Joan Ganz Cooney and Lloyd Morrisett. The program is known for its combination of Jim Henson's Muppets, animation, short films, humor, and cultural references. The program was conceived in 1966 during discussions between Cooney and Morrisett. The series premiered on public television stations on November 10, 1969 to positive reviews. By its 40th anniversary in 2009, Sesame Street was the fifteenth-highest rated children's television show in the United States.
