Andrea Martin Brings FINAL DAYS! EVERYTHING MUST GO!! To Hangar Theater

The award-winning star of stage, screen and television Andrea Martin will bring her brand new one woman show Final Days! Everything Must Go!! to the Hangar Theatre stage for one night only, Saturday, November 12th at 8 PM. Called "A Comic Genius" by USA Today, this will be Andrea Martin's only central New York appearance. Final Days! Everything Must Go!! was directed by Hangar artistic director Peter Flynn and features Sirius Radio star Seth Rudetsky.

Final Days! Everything Must Go!! will give Ithaca audiences the opportunity to see legendary SCTV characters brought to life onstage, hear favorite Broadway tunes and listen to amazing tales of show business as Ms. Martin reveals "way too much" about her life, her career and her famous Hollywood friends.

Known to millions for her unforgettable collection of characters on the Emmy winning SCTV, Andrea Martin is also a bonafide Tony-winning Broadway star, with memorable performances in Young Frankenstein, Fiddler on the Roof, Candide, Exit the King, Oklahoma! and My Favorite Year. Her film credits include, the newly released Breaking Upwards, My Big Fat Greek Wedding, (Sag award nomination and People's Choice Award, best ensemble) Hedwig and the Angry Inch, All Over the Guy, Mary Walsh's Young Triffie's Been Made Away With, Stepping Out, Bogus, and Wag the Dog.

Andrea Martin began her career as a singing chicken on the Captain Kangaroo television show. She was then cast in the United States Touring Company of You're A Good Man Charlie Brown, in which she played Lucy. During the tour, she visited Toronto Canada, fell in love with the city, moved there and within a month, got cast in the Toronto production of Godspell, in what is now considered the legendary cast; Victor Garber, Martin Short, Eugene Levy, Gilda Radner, Jayne Eastwood and Paul Shaffer, their musical director. Ms. Martin went on to appear in Leonard Bernstein's Candide as well as Private Lives with Maggie Smith and Brian Bedford at the Stratford Shakespeare Festival Theatre.

Her film credits include, the newly released Breaking Upwards, My Big Fat Greek Wedding, (Sag award nomination and People's Choice Award, best ensemble) Hedwig and the Angry Inch, All Over the Guy, Mary Walsh's Young Triffie's Been Made Away With, Stepping Out, Bogus, Wag the Dog, New York Minute, both the original and remake of Black Christmas, and Cannibal Girls, (co-starring

Eugene Levy) for which she won the Best Actress Award at SITGES, the international horror film festival of Spain.

For her work on "SCTV" Ms. Martin won 2 Emmy Awards for writing and received an Emmy nomination for Best Actress in a Variety series. Her additional television credits include My Big Fat Greek Life, Little Mosque on the Prairie, and Nurse Jackie. She is the recipient of 3 American Comedy Award nominations for several cable specials including her own "Andrea Martin Together Again," for Showtime, which also received a Cable Ace Award nomination for writing. She has lent her voice to an impressive list of animated projects including Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius, The Rugrats Movie, The Simpsons, Superman, Anastasia, George and Martha, and Sesame Street for which she received a special Emmy Award.

Martin has received more Tony and Drama Desk Award nominations as a Featured Actress in a Musical than any other actress. Beginning with My Favorite Year in 1993 for which she won both awards as well as the Theatre World Award, Ms. Martin was also nominated for Young Frankenstein, Oklahoma!, and Candide. She was last seen on Broadway opposite Geoffrey Rush and Susan Sarandon in Exit the King, for which she received Drama Desk Award and Outer Critic Circle Award nominations, and also starred in the revival of Fiddler on the Roof. Martin's off-Broadway theater credits include her one-woman show Nude, Nude, Totally Nude, for which she received a Drama Desk Award nomination.

Ms. Martin divides her time between NY and Toronto, when she is not interfering in the lives of her grown sons, Jack and Joe, who reside in LA.

Seth Rudetsky is the Broadway host, seven days a week, on Sirius Satellite Radio. Though he was a classical piano major at the Oberlin Conservatory of Music, after graduation he played for more than a dozen Broadway shows including RAGTIME, LES MIZ and PHANTOM. He was the Artistic Producer/Music Director and conductor for the first five annual Actors Fund Fall Concerts including DREAMGIRLS with Audra MacDonald, Lillias White and Heather Headley (recorded on Nonesuch Records), FUNNY GIRL with Kristin Chenoweth and Idina Menzel CHESS with Josh Groban and Sutton Foster (directed by Peter Flynn) and HAIR with Raul Esparza, Adam Pascal and Jennifer Hudson (recorded on Ghostlight Records, Grammy Nomination). In 2007 he made his Broadway acting debut playing Sheldon (singing "Magic to Do" in a devastating unitard) in THE RITZ directed by Joe Mantello for The Roundabout Theater. Off-Broadway he wrote and starred in the critically acclaimed RHAPSODY IN SETH (directed by Peter Flynn) at the Actors Playhouse and on television has appeared on TV on LAW AND ORDER C.I., as a coach on MTV's MADE and had a recurring role on ALL MY CHILDREN. As an author, he penned the books THE Q GUIDE TO BROADWAY, now in it's third printing, and the recently published BROADWAY NIGHTS which was just released as an audio book on featuring Andrea Martin, Jonathan Groff, Andrea Burns and Kristin Chenoweth. As a television writer, he was part of the comedy writing team on THE Rosie O'Donnell SHOW and wrote the opening number for two Tony Awards shows.
