In the Chicago Tribune yesterday, theater critic Chris Jones reports that Shrek originals Brian D'Arcy James (Shek), Sutton Foster (Princess Fiona) and Christopher Sieber (Lord Farquaad) are scheduled to attend a preview event later this month surrounding the announcement of the Shrek National Tour, reported to be kicking off at Chicago's Ford Center for the Performing Arts in June 2010.

On October 4, 2009 alumni from Marymount Manhattan College (MMC) will take the stage of The Theresa Lang Theatre to honor Professor Emeritus J. William Bordeau, who passed away on July 25. The MMC community will be celebrating Professor Bordeau's life with a memorial from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the College, 221 East 71st Street in New York City. The celebration of Bordeau's life will also be broadcast LIVE on the Web at www.mmm.edu. A cocktail reception will follow from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. in The Great Hall at the College.

Orange County's Chance Theater presents two theatrical treats for the Holidays: One Naughty (THE EIGHT: REINDEER MONOLOGUES) and One Nice (LITTLE WOMEN: THE MUSICAL). The New York Musical Theater Festival will honor TV's NY 1 and Sh-K-Boom at its sixth Anniversary Season Awards Gala on Sunday, November 22nd at The Supper Club (230 West 46th Street).
