The entry notes of Prince's 'Erotic City' ring in your ears, an echo from another time. Suddenly you notice the writing on the wall. The crash of overindulgence is imminent.

For over 50 years, she pushed the limits of choreographic movement, changing modern dance forever. At 79, Trisha Brown has choreographed her last dances. In celebration of her life's work, Trisha Brown Dance Company returns to the choreographer's home state to perform the final performances of her works for the proscenium stage as part of a retrospective presented by University of Washington's World Series at Meany Hall.

Trisha Brown: In the New Body showcases Brown's iconic choreography, and her influence and innovative ideas on movement and art. Named In the New Body because of Brown's influential reimagining of the body's relationship to gravity and momentum, this festival presented in partnership with the Barnes Foundation, Pennsylvania Ballet and several area universities will celebrate the major phases of Brown's work through free and ticketed performances and illuminating classes, workshops and talks with the artists and scholars who know her work best.
Orchestra of St. Luke's (OSL) raised $800,000 at its 40th Anniversary Gift of Music gala, held at The Plaza Hotel on April 20th. Funds raised at the gala benefit OSL's artistic and Community & Education programs, as well as The DiMenna Center for Classical Music, New York City's first and only space dedicated to classical music rehearsal, recording, and education.
The Collegiate Chorale raised more than $300,000 at its annual Spring Benefit featuring the U.S. premiere of Kurt Weill and Franz Werfel's The Road of Promise at Carnegie Hall on May 7, 2015. Proceeds will go toward The Chorale's artistic and education initiatives.
The Lilly Award Foundation hosted the first '(3) Plays From The Kilroys' List: A Reading Series' at The Duke on 42nd Street last night, March 9, 2015. The first one-act play in the series was 'The Comparables' by Laura Schellhardt with direction by Lear deBessonet featuring Cassie Beck, America Ferrerra, Kate Mulgrew and Emily Jeppesen.
