 The 21 opera singers who have won regional auditions around the United States will compete in the semifinal round of the Metropolitan Opera Eric and Dominique Laffont Competition on Sunday, April 24, beginning at 11AM ET.

 General Director Ken McConnell and Artistic Director Tobias Picker today announced Tulsa Opera’s 75th anniversary season, which opens October 28 & 30 with the company premiere of Rossini’s The Italian Girl (L’italiana in Algeri).

 LA Opera has announced the 2022 recipients of the Eva and Marc Stern Artist Award: tenor Ben Bliss, mezzo-soprano J'Nai Bridges and soprano Liv Redpath.

Gounod's masterpiece of grand French opera, Roméo et Juliette, continues San Diego Opera's 2021-2022 season when it opens on Saturday, March, 26, 2022 for four performances at the San Diego Civic Theatre. Additional performances are March 29, April 1, and 3 (matinee), 2022.

LA Opera will present a rare staged production of Bach's St. Matthew Passion from March 12 through 27, 2022, conducted by Music Director James Conlon. 

Music Director James Conlon will conduct three mainstage productions and Colombian-American conductor Lina González-Granados will make her company debut as Resident Conductor, the first Latina to hold a high-ranking conducting position with a major U.S. opera company. 

Mr. Williams is a senior leader in the orchestra sector, having held positions at the San Francisco Symphony and IMG Artists New York, prior to his current role as Chief Artistic and Operations Officer at The Cleveland Orchestra.

Experiential Orchestra and Chorus, led by Music Director James Blachly, will celebrate its 2021 Grammy win as well as being named a finalist for a 2021 Gramophone Classical Music Award for their recording of Dame Ethel Smyth's The Prison (Chandos Records) with a concert on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at 8pm at the DiMenna Center for Classical Music (450 W. 37th St., NYC).
