The Court Theatre is excited by the Christchurch City Council's resolution to work together to establish a permanent home for the company in the city centre.

Florida Studio Theatre is proud to announce that New York City's premier hip-hop comedy team, North Coast, is extending their stay in Sarasota following the 10th Anniversary Sarasota Improv Festival.

Rep Stage, the professional regional theatre in residence at Howard Community College (HCC), has announced casting for its first show of the upcoming season, "Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street." Set in modern-day East London, this production of the Tony Award-winning musical features an ensemble of eight in an intimate setting laced with brilliant wit, diabolical humor, and extraordinary music.

Tobacco Factory Theatres is delighted to announce the appointment of Mary Caws as its new Executive Director. Mary will join Artistic Director Mike Tweddle in leading Tobacco Factory Theatres and takes up her post on Wed 01 August 2018.  Mary takes over from outgoing Executive Director Lauren Scholey.

Interrobang Theatre Project is pleased to announce its ninth season, featuring three knockout dramas presented at its new resident home, Rivendell Theatre, 5779 N. This season, Interrobang explores "identity/crisis," with three plays featuring characters on the edge of something new, battling old demons and making room for fresh starts.

Each summer, the Warner Theatre Center For Arts Education offers three exciting opportunities for arts education and enrichment for young people ages 5-16, through the Summer Arts Program. Learn all about the ins and outs of theatre and have a chance to perform in one of our summer productions. Sessions are offered to ages 5-16 and begin on July 9.

The Warner Theatre has announced its final Main Stage production of the 2018-2019 Warner Stage Company season - MAMMA MIA!, sponsored by Elevator Service Company. Over 50 million people all around the world have fallen in love with the characters, the story and the music that make this the ultimate feel-good show! Performances are May 4-12, 2019.

Outcry Theatre's professional production of Spring's Awakening opens on Friday, July 6. Written by Frank Wedekind and translated by Eric Bentley, the production runs July 6-15 at the Addison Theatre Centre Studio Theatre.

Cleveland Public Theatre (CPT) is proud to announce that the National New Play Network (NNPN), an alliance of professional theatres that collaborate in innovative ways to develop, produce, and extend the life of new plays, has appointed Raymond Bobgan, CPT Executive Artistic Director, as President of the Board of Directors. Raymond was elected to the Executive Committee in 2016 as Treasurer and Chair of the Finance Committee. Raymond also served as Co-Chair of the Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) Committee. Because of his work with the EDI Committee, Raymond became heavily involved in NNPN's strategic planning process, which will be completed in December 2018.

Florida Studio Theatre (FST) is pleased to announce a special event that has just been added to the 10th Anniversary Sarasota Improv Festival lineup-That's My Song: An Intimate Evening with Dick Smothers, a celebration of comedy legends Tommy and Dick Smothers, more commonly known as The Smothers Brothers. Remembered today as popular American comedians and musicians, The Smothers Brothers were among the first to perform improvised material onstage as part of their musical comedy performances. At this special event, Florida Studio Theatre will recognize the group's artistic contributions to improv at its milestone Improv Festival. FST's Managing Director Rebecca Hopkins will lead an in-depth interview with the one and only Dick Smothers, followed by a fully improvised hip-hop homage to the Brothers' groundbreaking work performed by North Coast, New York City's premier hip-hop comedy team. Shakespeare & Company presents August Strindberg's dark comedy Creditors, adapted by critically acclaimed playwright David Greig and directed by Nicole Ricciardi of last season's hit show 4000 Miles. In this production of what Strindberg calls his 'most mature work,' three characters must face their past, confronting love, debt, and deception. Performances run from July 19 - August 12 in the Elayne P. Bernstein Theatre.

LEAP Dance Festival is one of the UK's most anticipated dance festivals and today producers MDI who celebrate their 25th anniversary this year, can reveal full details for the 2018 festival taking place from 2 to 12 November. The festival will mainly take place at venues across Liverpool Hope University, Creative Campus.

Civic Theatres Toronto today announced that the Best of the Fringe - the best from the upcoming 2018 Toronto Fringe Festival - will return this summer to the Toronto Centre for the Arts.  The Best of the Fringe affords "the Best" the opportunity for a remount in the Studio Theatre, Toronto Centre for the Arts, provides artists the opportunity to showcase their work to an uptown audience, and give patrons -- who may have missed their initial Fringe run -- a second chance to see the show.
