"Wild Women of Planet Wongo" (Wongo) extends its summer invasion at the Chopin Theater, 1543 W. Division through July 28. This immersive sci-fi musical comedy spoofs madcap 60s B movies while placing the audience into the middle of the experience. "Wild Women of Planet Wongo" was written by Ben Budick, Steve Mackes and Dave Ogrin and is directed by David Rigano. The world premiere of a new multi-disciplinary artistic collaboration is coming to the Studio Theatre of the Great Canadian Theatre Company. Raising Stanley / Life With Tulia uses storytelling, painting, and video to beautifully illustrate the journey from puppy to working guide dog for the blind. A collaboration between blind storyteller Kim Kilpatrick (disability rights activist and host of CKCU's Welcome to My World), painter Karen Bailey (the artist behind the Right Honourable Michaelle Jean's unconventional official portrait), and director Bronwyn Steinberg (Artistic Director of TACTICS and the upcoming GCTC production The Drowning Girls), Raising Stanley / Life With Tulia offers a fully accessible experience with a visual effects video of Karen's paintings and audio descriptions integrated with Kim's performance. Raising Stanley / Life With Tulia runs in the Studio Theatre of the Great Canadian Theatre Company from July 26 - August 5.

The Second City Hollywood has announced the 2018 Bob Curry Fellows. The Bob Curry Fellowship is a one-of-a-kind professional development master program, named for the first African-American performer on a resident stage. Synetic's OZ has moved to a new location: Devine Theater At Georgetown University July 11 Through August 12. The location is changing because the performance space at Synetic Theater (1800 S. Bell St.) is temporarily unavailable due to excessive water damage from a sprinkler system/pipe malfunction. The resulting damage has forced the team to move its upcoming production of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz to the Devine Theater located in the Davis Performing Arts Center on the Georgetown University campus.
