The Rep Announces ADMISSIONS and NONSENSE AND BEAUTY

The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis (The Rep) has announced two of the three shows for its 2018-2019 Studio Theatre season: Admissions(October 24 - November 11, 2018), the 2018 Drama Desk Award winner for Outstanding Play, and the world premiere of Nonsense and Beauty (March 6 - 24, 2019).

New Philharmonic Announces Free Concert and Live Broadcast at Lakeside Pavilion

Maestro Kirk Muspratt, Illinois Council of Orchestras' 2018 Conductor of the Year, and New Philharmonic, the professional orchestra in residence at the McAninch Arts Center (MAC), perform a free concert of pops music, movie scores and more at the Lakeside Pavilion, 425 Fawell Blvd., on the campus of College of DuPage, Friday, July 20, at 7:30 p.m. Preceding the concert, at 7:15 p.m., there will be a vocal performance by Addison's Caryna Martinez Rios, Third Place winner of the March 2018 Apollo Live COD Student Talent Competition.

Luna Stage Hires New Leadership

Luna Stage Company launched a new era on July 1, when it welcomed Ari Laura Kreith as Artistic Director and Miriam Gardin as Managing Director. The new team has announced a MainStage season featuring four new plays set in locations ranging from Malawi to Manhattan. They are committed to developing work that inspires empathy, provokes dialogue, catalyzes action, and reflects local voices as well as national and international conversations.

Hong Kong Dance Company Announces WAITING HEART

Waiting Heart is a modern interpretation of the acclaimed Cantonese opera The Legend of the Purple Hairpin. To celebrate the 101st anniversary of the birth of the eminent playwright Tong Tik-sang, the Hong Kong Dance Company (HKDC) and Utopia Cantonese Opera Workshop (UCOW) will stage this creative collaborative piece from 31st August to 2nd September at Hong Kong Cultural Centre Studio Theatre.

12 Peers Theater Presents The Pittsburgh Premiere Of STUPID f**kING BIRD

12 Peers Theater continues their 2018 Main Stage Season with Stupid f**king Bird by Aaron Posner. The Pittsburgh Premiere is directed by Vince Ventura and features Chris Cattell, Sarah Chelli, Sara Ashley Fisher, Matt Henderson, Stefan Lingenfelter, David Maslow, and Maura Underwood. Stupid f**king Bird remixes the classic Chekhov play The Seagull while examining the fairness of life, love, our culture, and our institutions. Stupid f**king Bird - Sort of Adapted From The Seagull by Anton Chekhov runs July 26 - August 12, 2018, at the Richard E. Rauh Studio Theatre in The Cathedral of Learning.

Florida Studio Theatre Closes Season with OTHER PEOPLE'S MONEY

Studio Theatre (FST) concludes its 2018 Summer Mainstage Season with Other People's Money, Jerry Sterner's timely comedy about Wall Street sharks and small town business. Called "Involving, disturbing, and above all, expertly crafted" by New York Magazine, this hit period piece explores ethics, business, and loyalty.

Paula Poundstone & Twisted Pine Added To Mondavi Center Season

The Robert and Margrit Mondavi Center for the Performing Arts, UC Davis is pleased to announce the addition of two new events to its 2018-19 Season: Paula Poundstone on Friday, November 30 in Jackson Hall; and Twisted Pine in a four-night run, April 17-20, 2018, in the Vanderhoef Studio Theatre. Both shows go on sale this Friday, July 13 at noon, along with tickets for all other Mondavi Center 2018-19 Season events. 

Planet Connections Theatre Festivity Announces Writers for Reading Series

Planet Connections Theatre Festivity (PCTF), the brainchild of arts professional Glory Kadigan, turns 10 years old. Known for its engaging and empowering series of plays every summer, the festivity is also celebrated for presenting readings of new works by some of New York's most prominent writers of independent theater. The multi-award-winning theatre festival, now under the direction of producing artistic director, Shaun Peknic, continues this tradition with a series of topical works making their first appearance in front of an audience.

Sandi Toksvig Adapts Treasure Island For Haymarket Theatre

The first production from Leicester's newly re-opened Haymarket Theatre will be the world premiere of Treasure Island, penned by national treasure and established author Sandi Toksvig (The Great British Bake Off, QI).

Casting Announced For SUMMER SHORTS 2018

Casting is complete for SUMMER SHORTS 2018, produced by Throughline Artists (J.J. Kandel, Producing Artistic Director) at 59E59 Theaters (Val Day, Artistic Director; Brian Beirne, Managing Director). SUMMER SHORTS 2018 begins on July 20 and runs through September 1. Two series featuring three one-act plays in each will play in rotating repertory Tuesday - Friday at 7:15 PM; Saturday & Sunday at 2:15 PM and 7:15 PM. Please note, there are no matinee performances on Saturday, July 21, Sunday, July 22, or Saturday, July 28.

Additional Performance Added For INTERSTATE At The NYMF

Melissa Li's and Kit Yan's new musical Interstate, has been extended due to popular demand. Interstate, which opens the 2018 New York Musical Festival tonight at Theatre Row, will play to a sold-out house. An additional performance, has been added on Sunday, July 15 at 5:00 pm.
