Revolve Productions presents a Staged Reading of A CONSUMING FIRE, a new play by Chris Phillips, on Monday, January 7th, 2013 at 7:00 pm at The Playroom Theater, 151 West 46th Street the 8th Floor, NYC. The dynamic play features Cole Burden, Stuart Green, Scott Thomas Hinson, Lisa Tharps, and Dan Wilson.

This spring, the students in Site-Specific Directing at Primary Stages Einhorn School of Performing Arts (ESPA) have staged theatre all over New York City: from Shakespeare in Central Park and on the High Line to Chekhov in the Russian and Turkish Baths to Sarah Kane on rooftops, libraries, and street corners. The directors concluded their class this week by fully producing eight new short plays by a group of incredible writers in and around the Dumbo neighborhood of Brooklyn.

Anthony Mackie (The Hurt Locker) will play the lead role of Pentheus joining George Bartenieff as Cadmus; André De Shields as Teiresias; Jonathan Groff as Dionysus; Karen Kandel as Chorus Leader; Joan MacIntosh as Agave; Steven Rishard as Cowherd; and Rocco Sisto as Messenger.
