Alfred Hitchcock's THE 39 STEPS starts its second year on Broadway in a new home and with a new Hannay. Sean Mahon will join the Tony Award-winning quick-change comedy as Richard Hannay on Wednesday, January 21, when the production moves to the Helen Hayes Theatre (240 West 44th Street).
Sam Robards will play his final performance as Richard Hannay on January 4 at the Cort Theatre (138 West 48th Street).

As previously announced, on Monday, February 2, 2009, Chita Rivera, Donna Murphy, Christine Ebersole, Cheyenne Jackson, Kerry Butler and more will take part in The Drama League's 25th annual all-star gala, 'A MUSICAL CELEBRATION OF BROADWAY.' This year's black-tie event, to be held at New York City's famed Rainbow Room (30 Rockefeller Plaza), will honor Broadway producers Stewart F. Lane and Bonnie Comley, as well as the 25th Anniversary of The Drama League Directors Project.
Among the highlights of The Drama League's annual benefit gala is the remarkable Gala Auction. This year?s auction will prove to be the most exciting in years and will feature a variety of stunning one-of-a-kind vacation packages, luxury gift items, intimate lunches with celebrities and unique theatrical experiences. The critically acclaimed production of Cyrano de Bergerac, Edmond Rostand's 1897 romantic classic with a translation and adaptation by Anthony Burgess, was recorded live on Wednesday, January 2, 2008 for PBS 'Great Performances.' It's now going to be made available on DVD on January 6, 2009. It will also be seen on PBS stations beginning January 7th, 2009 from 8-10:30pm.

'Good Morning America NOW' went behind-the-scenes at Broadway's THE 39 STEPS on this morning's broadcast. In the taped segment, 'Good Morning America NOW' took a look at the Tony Award-winning quick-change comedy version of the 1935 Hitchcock film classic, interviewing cast members Arnie Burton and Jeffrey Kuhn and showing some of the organized chaos backstage during the running of a typical performance.
