In 2006, the late Bruce Rossmeyer called upon his personal relationship with James Gandolfini to help support his favorite children's charity, Camp Boggy Creek. He was granted the title of Grand Marshall at Camp Boggy Creek's 12th Annual Ride for Children. Together, along with the support of over 1,200 motorcycle riders, they helped raise approximately $500,000 to benefit children who suffer from serious illnesses, such as cancer, epilepsy, diabetes and spina bifida. 'To our family, James Gandolfini was more than an actor, he was a friend', stated Mandy Rossmeyer Campbell. 'We were all very blessed to have known him and he will be missed.
