One of the most popular and longest running performance events in the country, FronteraFest, returns for its 24th year.

One of the most popular and longest running performance events in the country, FronteraFest, returns for its 24th year. A collaboration between Hyde Park Theatre and ScriptWorks, the Fest runs from January 17th through February 18th (Short Fringe, featuring pieces 25 minutes or less) at Hyde Park Theatre, 511 West 43rd Street,  (B.Y.O.V., Bring Your Own Venue) January 25th - February 5th, held at multiple locations and Mi Casa es Su Teatro for one day only on February 11th primarily in private homes (see website to purchase tickets, view full schedule and location details www.hydeparktheatre.org). The Long Fringe, which traditionally hosted pieces over 45 minutes has been canceled for the first time, due to the theatrical venue crisis in Austin. 

Dreamcatcher Repertory Theatre, professional Theatre in Residence at Oakes Center in Summit presents the series Monologues at MONDO on Thursdays from July 7 through 28 at 8 pm at MONDO, the cultural gathering place in downtown Summit (www.mondosummit.com).

Jason Tramm, Artistic Director and principal conductor of the Morristown based MidAtlantic Opera will lead the Amore Opera orchestra , chorus and featured soloists in Giacomo Puccini's La Boheme, arguably the world's most beloved opera. Directed by Nathan Hull, Amore Opera's fully staged production, with original sets designed by Richard Cerullo (for lower Manhattan's famed impresario Anthony Amato) opens tonight, December 18th and runs for 8 performances through January 3rd in the intimate 275 seat Loreto Theatre at the Sheen Center for Thought and Culture in New York City.

FronteraFest, now celebrating its 20th year as one of the largest fringe performance events in the Southwest kicks-off its 'Short Fringe' from January 15 - February 16 and 'Long Fringe' performances from January 21 - February 3, 2013. The Short Fringe takes place at Hyde Park Theatre (511 West 43rd) Tuesdays through Saturdays at 8:00 pm and Long Fringe performances are held at Salvage Vanguard Theatre (2803 Manor Road) at various dates/times (available at www.hydeparktheatre.org). There is also a special 'Mi Casa es Su Teatro' event which takes place one day only, Saturday, February 9th from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm.

The cast performed the song with Green Day on the GRAMMY® Awards, where the band won the "Best Rock Album" GRAMMY® for 21st Century Breakdown, on Sunday, January 31, 2010.
