Route 66 Theatre Company presents the second production of its 2010-2011 season with the world premiere of A Twist of Water, by Caitlin Montanye Parrish, co-created with and directed by Erica Weiss. A Twist of Water features Route 66 Artistic Director Stef Tovar, with Falashay Pearson, Alex Hugh Brown and Lili-Anne Brown. A Twist of Water closes March 20, 2011 at Theater Wit, 1229 W. Belmont Ave.
Open Fist Theatre's PROOF Extends Through 3/24

The Open Fist Theatre Company and The Aquila Morong Studio are thrilled to announce the extension of their co-production, PROOF, written by David Auburn and directed by John Hindman. PROOF has extended to Thursday, March 24 at 8pm and will run Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, at the Open Fist Theatre, 6209 Santa Monica Blvd. in Hollywood.

The Museum of the City of New York (MCNY) (1220 Fifth Avenue), in its forthcoming exhibition Joel Grey / A New York Life, examines the enduring impact that legendary actor Joel Grey and his adopted city have made on each other. Through rare artifacts from his stage and screen career, objects from his personal collection, and his own photography, MCNY offers a unique look at New York through Grey's eyes as well as a visual retrospective of his career. The exhibition's opening night reception will take place on the evening of Monday, April 11, which is also Grey's 79th birthday. It will open to the public the following day, and remain on display through Monday, August 8.

The New York Times has revealed that Sanaa Lathan will star in Second Stage's production of Meet Vera Stark this season. She joins Stephanie J. Block and Karen Olivo.
The production also stars Daniel Breaker, KIMBERLY HÉBERT GREGORY and Kevin Isola in this world premiere comedy, BY THE WAY, MEET VERA STARK, the new play by Lynn Nottage, directed by Jo Bonney. BY THE WAY, MEET VERA STARK is Ms. Nottage's first play to be produced in New York since she won the Pulitzer Prize for Ruined in 2009.
