The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey ushers in the Fall portion of its 2011 Season with Othello -- Shakespeare's tragic tale of love, jealousy and betrayal featuring a prestigious cast of Shakespeare Theatre veterans including Lindsay Smiling and Robert Cuccioli. Performances of Othello end October 2 at the Theatre's Main Stage, the intimate F.M. Kirby Theatre.

One of Minnesota's most iconic buildings, the University of Minnesota's Northrop, will be getting a major overhaul after today's action by the Board of Regents. The board gave their final approval for the financing package that will transform Northrop into a 'vital academic center of distinction and discovery that enlightens, challenges, and engages students, faculty, and the community.'

For the first time in 15 years, a work by Nobel Prize winner Harold Pinter will be presented on The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey's Main Stage. Beginning on August 11 and continuing through August 29, Pinter's 1975 modern classic No Man's Land, directed by artistic director Bonnie J. Monte, will run at the F. M. Kirby Shakespeare Theatre.

The New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) today announced the selections for the 2010 Next Link Project, NYMF's primary writer service program. The Next Link Project empowers emerging musical theatre writing teams as both artists and entrepreneurs by providing the training and relationships needed to help them move their musicals from readings to fully-realized productions and to advance their careers by maximizing the exposure they receive in the Festival. Twelve of the Festival's full production slots are reserved for participants in The Next Link Project.

The New York Musical Theater Festival honored TV's NY 1 ON STAGE and Sh-K-Boom & Ghostlight Records at its sixth Anniversary Season Awards Gala on Sunday, November 22nd at The Edison Ballroom (240 West 47th Street). The winners of NYMF 2009 Awards for Excellence, which were announced earlier this month, were also honored at the gala.
