From Harlem's Cotton Club to the Golden Age of Hollywood, Harold Arlen's natural ease for jazz and blues gave him a distinct voice in the Great American Songbook. Inspired by their mutual love for the strain of an Arlen tune, Broadway leading lady Teal Wicks (Finding Neverland, Wicked, Jekyll and Hyde) and music director Steven Jamail offer an intimate evening of song exploring the work of their favorite composer.
54 BELOW has a successful series of one-offs where a talented cast sings the music of a certain show or group. Last Saturday the popular venue hosted 54 BELOW Sings Heart. Channeling the cherished goddesses of rock with might and candor, the cast left the audience pumped and euphoric.

On December 8, 2014, Houston, Texas took 54 BELOW by storm during the inaugural Cuz We're F#cking Talented cabaret concert at the esteemed venue. Angela Lansbury received the 2014 Rolex Dance Award. James Earl Jones, Ms. Lansbury's Driving Miss Daisy co-star, presented her with the award. The 2014 Career Transition For Dancers Outstanding Contributions to the World of Dance Awards honorees went to Janice Galli Becker, Fe Saracino Fendi, and Joe Tremaine & Tremaine Dance Conventions & Competitions.
