LONELY PLANET, Starring Arnie Burton & Matt McGrath, Opens Tonight at Keen Company

Steven Dietz's landmark play Lonely Planet, directed by Keen Artistic Director Jonathan Silverman (The Tempramentals) and starring Arnie Burton (The Government Inspector) and Matt McGrath (The Legend of Georgia McBride) opens tonight, October 19th, for a limited Off-Broadway engagement at The Clurman Theatre at Theatre Row (410 West 42nd Street), continuing through November 18th.

Keen Company's LONELY PLANET, Starring Arnie Burton and Matt McGrath, Begins Tonight

Steven Dietz's landmark play Lonely Planet stars Arnie Burton (The Government Inspector) and Matt McGrath (The Legend of Georgia McBride) in a limited Off-Broadway engagement at The Clurman Theatre at Theatre Row (410 West 42nd Street), beginning tonight, October 3rd, and continuing through November 18th only, with opening night set for Thursday, October 19th.

BWW Review: Mesmerizing, emotion-laden “Last of the Boys” at none too fragile

War is hell and, as highlighted in Last of the Boys, its aftermath is often worse. Kudos to Sean Derry and his cast for creating a compelling evening of theater. This is must see theater for anyone interested in fine acting and a more real than life picture of the outcomes of combative and emotional wars on human beings.

DRACULA Opens on Friday 10/13 at Cincinnati Shakespeare Company

Cincinnati Shakespeare Company continues its debut season at The Otto M. Budig Theater with Dracula by Steven Dietz, from the novel by Bram Stoker opening Friday October 13. The production runs through November 4, and is directed by Producing Artistic Director Brian Isaac Phillips. Longtime ensemble member Giles Davies reprises his role as Dracula, alongside Artistic Associate Miranda McGee as Lucy, Jim Hopkins as Van Helsing, Crystian Wiltshire as Jonathan Harker, Caitlin McWethy as Mina, Billy Chace as Renfield, and Kyle Brumley as Dr. Seward. All seats in the new Otto M. Budig Theater are less than 20 feet from the stage so audiences will be amazed at how close to the passion they will be!

Harris Center presents GO, DOG. GO! Live Onstage

We all grew up with Go, Dog. Go! The Harris Center is proud to bring the adventures of P.D. Eastman's beloved children's book to life in a frolicking musical dog party, live on stage. Created by Childsplay, one of the best theater troupes in Arizona, it also is one of the best theaters for young audiences in the country, with top-notch acting and production values (Arizona Republic). The company presents this beloved preschool favorite with a cast that has gone straight to the dogs with cars, hats, a moonlit boat ride, and even a wild game of ball as this hilarious visual spectacle manages to sneak in some important lessons about life between innings.

BWW Review: THIS RANDOM WORLD Soars at Austin Playhouse

This Random World, the new Steven Dietz play that kicked off Austin Playhouse's 18th season on September 8th, is a well paced and finely built show. The production at Austin Playhouse, utilizing a handful of skilled actors and minimalistic set, deftly crafts a consistently interesting and entertaining show that captivates the audience as it unfolds.

Arnie Burton and Matt McGrath to Lead Keen Company's LONELY PLANET

Today Keen Artistic Director Jonathan Silverstein announced that Steven Dietz's landmark play Lonely Planet would star Arnie Burton (The Government Inspector) and Matt McGrath (The Legend of Georgia McBride).  The design team will include Anshuman Bhatia (scenic), Jennifer Paar (costumes), Paul Hudson (lighting) and Bart Fasbender (sound).
