Branden Jacobs-Jenkins' GLORIA Opens Tonight at Goodman Theatre

What is newsworthy? What lives have value? Does ambition compromise morals? MacArthur Foundation Fellow Branden Jacobs-Jenkins explores these questions and more in Gloria. Directed by Evan Cabnet, Gloria made its Off-Broadway debut in 2015 at the Vineyard Theater. The complete cast and creative team reunite for the Chicago premiere at the Goodman.

Steve Scott to Direct AH, WILDERNESS! This Spring at Goodman Theatre

Goodman Theatre Artistic Director Robert Falls announced today that his longtime creative collaborator, Artistic Associate and Producer Steve Scott, will direct the theater's production of Eugene O'Neill's Ah, Wilderness! this spring. Scott assumes this responsibility from Falls, who was originally announced as the production's director.

Ron West to Lead The Second City's TWIST YOUR DICKENS at the Goodman

The Second City's irreverent and interactive seasonal satire, Twist Your Dickens returns to Goodman Theatre for its third year with new yuletide yuks and favorite faces. 'A satisfying twist on the traditional tale' (Time Out Chicago), Twist Your Dickens is written by former The Colbert Report writers Peter Gwinn and Bobby Mort and directed by and starring Second City Alum Ron West.

UNCLE PHILLIP'S COAT Stars Gene Weygandt at Greenhouse Theater Center

The Chicago Premiere of playwright Matty Selman's "Uncle Philip's Coat" will run at the Greenhouse Theater Center (2257 N. Lincoln Ave) Nov. 27 - Dec. 31. Directed by Elizabeth Margoliusand starring Gene Weygandt (best known as The Wonderful Wizard of Oz in "Wicked" in Chicago and on Broadway), "Uncle Philip's Coat" follows Matty on his humorous and heartfelt journey of personal discovery, sparked by his inheritance of a tattered coat from his eccentric Russian-Jewish immigrant uncle Philip. 

Greenhouse Theater Center Presents the World Premiere of HER AMERICA

Greenhouse Theater Center is pleased to continue its Solo Celebration! Series with the world premiere of Brett Neveu's haunting drama HER AMERICA (formerly titled MISS AMERICA), starring veteran Chicago and Broadway actress Kate Buddeke and directed by Linda Gillum. HER AMERICA will play January 6 - February 12, 2017 at The Greenhouse Theater Center (Downstairs Mainstage), 2257 N. Lincoln Ave. in Chicago.
