Tonight, February 16th at 8:00 p.m., The Chicago Jazz Orchestra (CJO) led by conductor Jeff Lindberg, will reprise its popular Tribute to Ray Charles at Wentz Concert Hall on the campus of North Central College, 171 E. Chicago Avenue, Naperville, Illinois.
Hear 'The Sound' come alive once again in this intimate concert performed by members of the ChicagoJazz Orchestra (CJO). The performance features three of Chicago's most sought-after performers-Greg Fishman on saxophone, Eric Hochberg on bass, and Dennis Luxion on piano-paying tribute to the legendary Stan Getz. Armitage, Chicago, just days after Frank Zappa's 72nd birthday, the Chicago Jazz Orchestra (CJO) presents an adventurous tribute to this great American musical genius. The show, which begins at 7:30 p.m., will feature the 15-piece CJO along with saxophonist Ernie Watts, who was in Zappa's band for the original recording of The Grand Wazoo. Electric violinist Mark Wood (Trans-Siberian Orchestra) and electric bassist Dave Morgan, who created the arrangements for this show, are also featured. Conducting the performance will be CJO artistic director Jeff Lindberg.

The Chicago Jazz Orchestra (CJO) has been chosen to perform at the 35th Annual Kennedy Center Honors Gala this Sun., December 2, in Washington, D.C. This performance marks the 24th straight year that the CJO has been awarded this singular performance honor.

Adept at many musical styles, he performs Jazz, Funk, Soul, R&B and the Blues, and has worked with some of the biggest names in jazz, including Sonny Rollins, Art Blakey & the Jazz Messengers, Stanley Turrentine, Miles Davis and Ramsey Lewis.

On Thursday, January 26th at 5:30 p.m., the Driehaus Museum in partnership with Jeff Lindberg's Chicago Jazz Orchestra will present Alfonso Ponticelli and Swing Gitan in a celebration of the music of world-renowned French jazz guitarist and composer Django Reinhardt. Formed in 2001, Swing Gitan continues Reinhardt's pioneering style from the 1930's, blending the swing rhythms of early jazz with the dark passion of gypsy music.
