Connecticut Repertory Theatre (CRT), the professional producing arm of the Department of Dramatic Arts at the University of Connecticut in Storrs, continues its 2011 Nutmeg Summer Series with Seussical The Musical. It's the summer event that's a family 'must-do', featuring The Cat in the Hat and Horton Hears a Who! Tickets for children and students are just $10! Seussical The Musical runs June 16-26 in the Nafe Katter Theatre on the UConn Storrs campus. The preview performance takes places this Thursday, June 16 at 7:30 p.m. and Opening Night is this Friday, June 17 at 8:00 p.m.

Two fixtures of the Manhattan comedy scene put their own twist on Cat in the Hat and Horton Hears a Who with CRT Seussical revival.

The exuberant imagination of Dr. Seuss comes alive on stage when the musical, mischievous Cat in the Hat magically appears to romp through a tuneful tale of Horton the Elephant.

Writer Damon Runyon invented Broadway - and Broadway invented the American Musical! Connecticut Repertory Theatre (CRT) will open its 2011 Nutmeg Summer Series with the classic American musical, Guys and Dolls based on Runyon's comic tales of Broadway running June 2-12 in the Harriet S. Jorgensen Theatre (Lower Jorgensen).

Connecticut Repertory Theatre (CRT) is offering three productions in the Nutmeg Summer Series between June 2 and July 17, 2011.

GUMBO presents a screening and Q&A of THE BIG GAY MUSICAL (2009), directed by Casper Andreas (Violet Tendencies) and Fred M. Caruso, and starring; Joey Dudding (Cabaret), Daniel Robinson (currently in My Big Gay Italian Wedding), Steve Hayes (Trick), Brent Corrigan, and Michael Musto.

Vincent J. Cardinal, the current Associate Dean of Performing Arts at Adelphi University, and formerly the Artistic Director of Miami's Jerry Herman Ring Theatre and Associate Artist with Circle Repertory Company, will begin as both Artistic Director of Connecticut Repertory Theatre and head of the Department of Dramatic Arts beginning August 23, 2010.
