Culture Project (Allan Buchman, Founder & Artistic Director), in association with Innocence Project, Marc & Steven Kaplan, and Cheryl Wiesenfeld, has announced a 4-week extension of the acclaimed 10th anniversary production of the hit award-winning play, The Exonerated, written by Jessica Blank and Erik Jensen. Culture Project (Allan Buchman, Founder & Artistic Director), in association with Innocence Project, Marc & Steven Kaplan, and Cheryl Wiesenfeld, welcomes Steve Earle (The Revolution Starts…Now, Grammy Award), John Forte (The Score, Grammy nominee), Kathryn Grody (Scapino), Marg Helgenberger ("CSI"), Christine Lahti (God of Carnage), Richard Masur (This is Fiction), Joe Morton (Raisin), Martin Short (The Goodbye Girl), Danton Stone (Ivan in Art), Frank Whaley ("Blue Bloods"), and exoneree Kerry Max Cook, whose story is shared in the play, to the rotating cast of the 10th anniversary production of the hit award-winning play, The Exonerated, written by Jessica Blank and Erik Jensen, now in performance at Culture Project (45 Bleecker Street at Lafayette Street) where performances began September 15th for a limited seven-week engagement through November 4th.

Justin Townes Earle brings a contemporary eye to the Guthrie canon on the year of Woody Guthrie's centenary These concerts mark a unique step forward for Earle outside his popular club appearances as he curates multiple artist and multi-date shows in a performing arts hall. Each date will reveal a different side of both Earle and Guthrie; the show on October 26 will be a three man affair with Earle performing beside his friends Joe Pug and John McCauley of the band Deer Tick. On October 27, Earle will perform alongside a full band with special guests Joe Pug and the band The Low Anthem. Special guest Joe Klein, political and music journalist, will read from his book Woody Guthrie: A Life at both shows.

The Chicago Symphony Orchestra, the crown jewel of Ravinia's summer classical programming, closes out their Ravinia summer residency in a concert led by Ravinia Music Director James Conlon in the Martin Theatre at 8 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 20. The performance features CSO soloists and includes Spohr's Nonet in F Major, Op. 31 and Schubert's Octet in F Major, D. 803. The concert also features a ticket and dining package for a special price of $75.

Root rocker and author Steve Earle will read from his new novel I'll Never Get Out of This World Alive at Prairie Lights on Tuesday, August 7 at 4pm, with a book signing and Q&A following. The reading is free and open to the public. An accomplished musician, Steve Earle will also perform at The Englert Theatre later that evening.

Pace Presents is a world-class performing arts and culture series with an emphasis on music superstars from around the globe, charismatic and crowd-pleasing dance performances, spectacular theatre and contemporary cabaret. The Pace Presents season begins on September 22 with Gypsy brass superstars Fanfare Ciocarlia and culminates on April 20 with Jazz's living treasure, Hugh Masekela.

Firecat Projects and 16th Street Theater present Nickel History: The Nation of Heat, written and performed by Tony Fitzpatrick with Stan Klein July 19-August 5 in Steppenwolf's Garage Theatre, 1624 N. Halsted with a press opening of Thursday, July 19 at 8 p.m. Adapted and directed by 16th Street artistic director Ann Filmer, Nickel History features Carolyn Hoerdemann, film and video art by Kristin Reeves, and music by John Rice, Anna Fermin and Buzz Kilman. Singer-songwriter Joe Pug is a guest performer on July 19-20.
