Theater Latté Da Announces The Cast Of HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH

Theater Latte Da announces the cast for John Cameron Mitchell's genre-bending, fourth-wall-smashing sensation Hedwig and the Angry Inch. Winner of 2014 Tony award for Best Musical Revival, Hedwig and the Angry Inch features music and lyrics by Stephen Trask. Annie Enneking and Theater Latte Da Artistic Director Peter Rothstein co-direct the production with Music Director Jason Hansen. Performances begin March 27 at the Ritz Theater (345 13th Avenue NE in Minneapolis).

RuPaul's Drag Race Star Headlines reTHEATER's HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH

After a critically acclaimed run in Philadelphia last summer, RuPaul's Drag Race Star Mimi Imfurst will return as Hedwig in reTHEATER's production of John Cameron Mitchell and Stephen Trask's gender bending rock musical HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH. The production was nominated for a 2018 Barrymore Awatd and The Philadelphia Inquirer hailed Imfurst as giving 'a performance worthy of a rock star, at once weepy and melodramatic and infused with the fury and angst of long-endured sorrow.' It will be presented for one night only: Today, February 15 at 7pm at The Laurie Beechman Theatre (inside West Bank Cafe at 407 West 42nd Street -- at Ninth Avenue). BWW Review: HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH Rocks at ZACH

HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH is a 1998 Off-Broadway rock musical that won the Obie Award and Outer Critics Circle Award for Best Off-Broadway Musical with music and lyrics by Stephen Trask and a book by John Cameron Mitchell. It is a performance by Hedwig, a genderqueer East German singer of the fictional rock and roll band, The Angry Inch. In 2014, the show saw its first Broadway incarnation winning the year's Tony Award for Best Revival of a Musical. It was also filmed as a movie long before the revised Broadway production.

Pinch 'N' Ouch HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH Extends Through March

Pinch 'N Ouch Theatre is rocking and rolling with their latest production of HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH, which has already garnished them four weekends of sold out performances. The Tony Award-winning rock musical, HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH, written by John Cameron Mitchell and music by Stephen Trask, tells the story of 'internationally ignored song stylist' Hedwig Schmidt, a fourth-wall smashing East German rock 'n' roll goddess who also happens to be the victim of a botched sex-change operation, which has left her with just 'an angry inch.'

Hedwig returns to Texas in the Austin debut of the 2014 Tony Award-winning incarnation of John Cameron Mitchell and Stephen Trask's Hedwig and the Angry Inch playing The Topfer at ZACH running January 23-March 3, 2019 with a new "Pay-What-You-Will" program to begin with this production. In collaboration with University of Texas at Austin's Drama and Theatre for Youth and Communities (DTYC) MFA Program, This Girl Laughs, This Girl Cries, This Girl Does Nothing will now join the season lineup running January 13, 19, 20, and 26, 2019 in The Whisenhunt at ZACH, performed and devised by the ensemble. Allen Robertson's smash-hit musical for all ages, Tortoise and Hare will close in The Kleberg at ZACH on January 27.

Pinch 'N' Ouch Opens 10-Year Anniversary Season With HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH

Pinch 'N Ouch Theatre opens its 10-year anniversary season with the Tony Award-winning rock musical, HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH, written by John Cameron Mitchell and music by Stephen Trask. Pinch 'N Ouch Theatre's Producing Artistic Director, Grant McGowen will direct Atlanta native Chad Darnell in the role of 'Hedwig,' an East German genderqueer "internationally ignored song stylist." McGowen most recently directed THIS IS OUR YOUTH, FOOL FOR LOVE and WHO'S AFRAID OF VIRGINIA WOOLF at Pinch 'N' Ouch Theatre. "This show is a beast of a show and I'm so excited to bring her to back to Atlanta," said Darnell who previously played the role at the Bay Street Theatre in Savannah, GA in January 2018.

HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH Comes To Aventura Arts & Cultural Center

The City of Aventura presents Slow Burn Theatre Company's staging of Hedwig and the Angry Inch starring Carbonell Award winners Dominique Scott and Mallory K. Newbro on Thursday, November 29 and Friday, November 30 at 8 p.m.; Saturday, December 1 at 2 and 8 p.m.; and Sunday, December 2 at 2 p.m.
