The Kennedy Center Welcomes JEKYLL & HYDE, Nov 20-25

The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts presents Jekyll & Hyde November 20-25, 2012 in the Kennedy Center Opera House. After four years on Broadway and multiple world-wide tours, this dark and dangerous love story returns in a new production that includes all the classic songs "This is the Moment," "A New Life," and "Someone Like You." Conceived for the stage by Tony and Grammy Award nominee Frank Wildhorn and Steve Cuden, the four-time Tony nominated musical Jekyll & Hyde features a book & lyrics by two-time Oscar winner, Emmy winner and four-time Tony Award nominee Leslie Bricusse, music by Frank Wildhorn, and is directed and choreographed by Tony Award nominee Jeff Calhoun. Starring in the dual title role of Dr. Henry Jekyll and Edward Hyde, American Idol star and Tony Award nominee Constantine Maroulis injects new life into the classic tale of good and evil, along with Grammy nominated R&B artist Deborah Cox. The show, currently on a 25-week national tour, will return to Broadway at the Richard Rodgers Theatre in April 2013. The press opening night will be on Tuesday, November 20 at 7:30 p.m.

JEKYLL & HYDE, the international musical sensation will return to Broadway in Spring 2013 following a 25-week National Tour. The tour launched at San Diego's Civic Theatre in San Diego, California on October 2, and stars Tony Award nominee Constantine Maroulis in the title dual role of Dr. Henry Jekyll and Edward Hyde, alongside Grammy Award nominee and R&B superstar Deborah Cox as Lucy. Virginia Stage Company is hosting a progressive open house party and season preview tonight, Sept. 13, 2012 beginning at 5:00 pm. The evening will celebrate VSC's new offices and offer a preview of the upcoming season. Guests are invited to follow "The Path to Creating Theater" by visiting the new locations of the VSC Administration offices and the VSC Design Center, as well as the Wells Theatre, all within a 2-block radius.

The Suzi Bass Awards, Inc. announced nominations for the 2011-2012 Atlanta professional theatrical season this evening to an enthusiastic crowd of patrons and theatre industry artists. The Suzi Nomination Party, which rotates venues, was hosted this year by the Aurora Theatre in Lawrenceville, GA. The spacious lobby allowed guests to enjoy drinks, hors d'ouevres and the chance to congratulate their colleagues. Guest announcers, Atlanta's own funny men Bryan Brendle, Bart Hansard, Tony Larkin, Aurora Theatre artistic director Tony Rodriguez and Scott Warren shared the list of nominees while playfully riffing on the 2011/2012 Atlanta theatre season.

A tale of America's original Big Business catastrophe - the Ashtabula Disaster - set to a gospel, folk and bluegrass score. Playing at The 45th Street Theater (upstairs, 354 West 45th Street, New York, NY 10036). Performances are tonight, July 10th, 2012 at 8:00 pm & 9:00 pm and Thursday, July 12th, 2012 at 7:00 pm.
