T. Schreiber Theatre (TST) celebrates its 48th Anniversary with the first play of their 2016-17 Season, The Motherf**ker with the Hat by Stephen Adly Guirgis. The production is the first New York revival of the play since the Broadway run in 2011. Playwright Stephen Adly Guirgis won the Pulitzer Prize for Drama in 2015 for his play Between Riverside and Crazy and co-created the hit Netflix series The Get Down with Baz Luhrmann. The comedy previewed October 19 - 21 to sold-out enthusiastic houses. Performances of The Motherf**ker with the Hat continues through November 19th at TST. The Kean Theatre Conservatory will open its 2016-2017 season this week with Jesus Hopped the 'A' Train by Pulitzer Prize winner Stephen Adly Guirgis (October 14 - 22, Zella Fry Theatre). An Olivier nominee for Best New Play, Jesus Hopped the 'A' Train premiered Off-Broadway at Labyrinth Theater Company in 2000 under the direction of the late Philip Seymour Hoffman. Praised by The New York Times as a "probing, intense portrait of lives behind bars," Jesus Hopped the 'A' Train chronicles the story of Angel Cruz, who has recently been moved into maximum security at Rikers Island. While in protective custody he meets Lucius Jenkins, a sociopathic serial killer awaiting extradition to the state of Florida for execution. Linked by fate and facing an unpredictable outcome, Angel and Lucius tangle over questions of innocence and guilt, crime and punishment, and individual moral accountability.

Vineyard Theatre Partners with Developing Artists for Arts-in-Education Program
