Red Branch Theatre Company (RBTC) will open its sixth mainstage season with The Last Five Years and john & jen in repertory billed under the series title 'The Love/Loss Cycle.' This is the first time that Red Branch will produce two shows in repertory since its inception in 2008.
Acclaimed and renowned American musical theatre composer Jason Robert Brown will present a benefit cabaret entitled 'I Could Be In Love With Someone Like You' on Monday, March 17 to kick of Red Branch Theatre Company's 2014 season. Howard County restaurant Iron Bridge Wine Company will cater the affair with Irish-themed favorites in celebration of St. Patrick's Day. Proceeds will benefit Red Branch Theatre Company's annual operating budget. This promises to be a once-in-a-lifetime event given the opportunity to see this prominent composer in a rare concert appearance in the theatre's intimate, 100-seat space. To top off the cabaret, Mr. Brown will accompany alums of TYA, Drama Learning Center's teen professional company, and the casts of The Love/Loss Cycle in one of his compositions during the evening's performance.

Tickets have now been released for individual sale for Dear Edwina. This charming show-within-a-show chronicles Edwina Spoonapple's quest to woo a talent scout by giving musical advice for the neighborhood from her garage. She counsels her community of Paw Paw, Michigan on everyday etiquette through zany songs and dances produced by the Spoonapple Repertory Theatre. While Dear Edwina, Jr. is a favorite of school drama departments, the full version with adult actors is rarely produced. This production marks the area premiere of the fully staged production of this title, which received two Drama Desk Award Nominations for its Off-Broadway run in 2009.

The drama fun will run from July 8 - August 2, 2013. Tuition for DLC Baltimore summer camps is $295 per week per child. Red Branch Theatre Company will kick off its fifth season with a two-night cabaret celebration on March 15 and 16. Red Branch Company Members and area performers will present selections from all of the company's past musicals while also providing a preview of the upcoming season. Fine food and beverages will be served before the performance and between acts, and a silent auction will be held on both days to benefit the company's annual operating budget.

Due to an overwhelming response to their current production of Les Miserables (School Edition), Drama Learning Center's Teen Professional Company, TYA (Teaching Young Actors), announces that it will be extending its performance schedule for one more weekend from June 28-29 at Drama Learning Center in Columbia.
