Dress Circle Publishing celebrates SETH'S BROADWAY DIARY, VOLUME 2: The Inside Scoop on (almost) Every Broadway Show & Star, the second in a series by Sirius XM radio host Seth Rudetsky with a special event tonight, October 28 at 5:30 PM at Don't Tell Mama (343 West 46th Street).

Christopher Sieber, the twice Tony Award-nominated Broadway star of Monty Python's Spamalot, Shrek the Musical and more, has joined DRESS CIRCLE PUBLISHING's special celebration of the new book by Sirius XM radio host SETH RUDETSKY. The launch event for SETH'S BROADWAY DIARY, VOLUME 2: will take place on Wednesday, October 28 at 5:30 PM at Don't Tell Mama (343 West 46th Street). The evening will also feature Stephanie J. Block, Andrea Burns, Ana Gasteyer, Mandy Gonzales and Jackie Hoffman, who will perform excerpts and some of Seth's favorite songs. Tickets are $40, which include a copy of the book, and can be purchased at www.dresscirclepublishing.com.

In addition to Seth, the event will feature Stephanie J. Block, Andrea Burns, Ana Gasteyer, Mandy Gonzales and Jackie Hoffman, who will perform excerpts and some of Seth's favorite songs.

BroadwayWorld has just learned that film, television, and theatre actor Geoffrey Arend (MADAM SECRETARY on CBS) will be joining previously announced Stephanie J. Block and Sebastian Arcelus in Midtown Direct Rep's staged reading of THE IMPOSSIBILITY OF NOW, a new play written by Y York and directed by Will Pomerantz.  Broadway actress Marni Raab (The Phantom of the Opera) will read the stage directions. 

On November 13, 2015 at 8:00PM, The New York Pops, led by Music Director Steven Reineke, will continue its 33rd season at Carnegie Hall's Stern Auditorium/Perelman Stage with Sophisticated Ladies, featuring Montego Glover, Capathia Jenkins, and Sy Smith. The concert commemorates the centennial year of the birth of Billie Holiday and also celebrates other groundbreaking icons of American popular song, from Ella Fitzgerald to Sarah Vaughan to Dinah Washington.

Earlier this month, Broadway stars Stephanie J. Block and Aaron Lazar performed in 'A Cabaret Evening' at 54 Below (254 West 54th Street). The evening was a joint benefit in support of The New York Pops PopsEd Programs and Ronald McDonald House New York. The two organizations partner to provide music education programs that serve as creative outlets for the children and families in residence.

Midtown Direct Rep (MDR), kicks off its 2015-16 season at the South Orange Performing Arts Center (SOPAC) with Theatre in the Loft, a series of staged readings of new plays and musicals. The Impossibility of Now, written by Y York and directed by Will Pomerantz, will be performed for one night only on Sunday, October 18, 2015 at 7pm at SOPAC (One Sopac Way, South Orange, NJ, 07079).  The reading is $15 and open to the public. The evening was a joint benefit in support of The New York Pops PopsEd Programs and Ronald McDonald House New York. The two organizations partner to provide music education programs that serve as creative outlets for the children and families in residence.

Broadway fans celebrated the 29th Annual Broadway Flea Market & Grand Auction by bidding on and buying everything from tickets to a bevy of opening night performances to custom-made music mixes, from autographed musical phrases to once-in-a-lifetime theatrical experiences. The result: a record $756,655 was raised for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.
