Now celebrating its 23rd Anniversary, The Blank Theatre's Nationwide Young Playwrights Festival has chosen 12 plays by young playwrights aged 12-19 from seven different states. These plays will be presented by professional actors and directors in this year's festival at The Stella Adler Theatre in Hollywood, June 4-28.
Rosendorf One Productions has announced that it will present DEVOTED DREAMS, a new dark comedy about a young man who takes on the business world, battling an insurmountable work load, brutal bosses and overbearing parents at The Beckett Theatre, Theatre Row, 410 West 42nd St. Written by Christopher B. Latro and directed by Anna Bamberger, the production will begin previews on Wednesday, May 27 at 2PM and will have its official opening on Friday, May 29 at 8PM. The run will continue through June 27.

The production will included Shakespeare scenes, monologues, sonnets, and songs featuring current students, alumni, administration and faculty. This is a pay-what-you-can event, and all proceeds will benefit BC/EFA.

Charles Evered's West Coast premiere Class is a lovely piece of theatre currently onstage at the Falcon Theatre through April 19. It's always great to see a good script be given a laudatory production with fluid staging by director Dimitri Toscas, two sensitive performances from Gildart Jackson and Callie Schuttera, and a superior set design from Francois-Pierre Couture.
