A longstanding tradition in New York at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting is coming to Los Angeles! The annual fundraiser for Broadway Cares / Equity Fights AIDS, dubbed the Shakespeare Benefit, will make its debut in LA this weekend, April 18th and 19th, 2015.

The production will included Shakespeare scenes, monologues, sonnets, and songs featuring current students, alumni, administration and faculty. This is a pay-what-you-can event, and all proceeds will benefit BC/EFA. The Stella Adler Studio of Acting has donated over $90,000 since the benefit's inception. There will also be raffled items collected by BC/EFA including signed Broadway Show Posters and Playbills. Raffle tickets will be sold at the shows.

To make a reservation for the show or donation to Broadway Cares / Equity Fights AIDS, please call 323-601-5310 or email info@artofactingstudio.com. The Art of Acting Studio is located at 1017 North Orange Drive, Los Angeles, CA 90038.

Founded in 1949, the Stella Adler Studio New York & the Art of Acting Studio Los Angeles occupy a unique place in the history of both theater and actor training in the United States. Rooted in the spirit of Stella Adler, and the insight that growth as an actor and growth as a human being are synonymous, students are challenged on every level by world-class faculty and by a mission to nurture theater artists so that they value humanity, their own and others, as their first priority, while bringing art and education to the community.

In Los Angeles, the studio's name is the Art of Acting Studio, named after Stella Adler's most famous book; for more information, visit www.artofactingstudio.com.
