Casts of SOMETHING ROTTEN!, KINKY BOOTS & More to Launch Tavern on the Green's New Broadway Performance Series

Central Park's iconic eatery, Tavern on the Green, is partnering with cast members from five of Broadway's biggest shows to debut 'Broadway on the Green,' an outdoor theatre series that will bring top-billed performances to Tavern's Courtyard overlooking Central Park. The 5-week initiative, in partnership with Speer Arts, will begin at dusk this Sunday, May 15th with a special performance from cast members of Wicked.

After the wildly successful 'Broadway Loves Britney' and 'Broadway Sings The 90's' concerts, 'The TRL Generation' returns to the Canal Room on Sunday, November 10th with 'Broadway Loves the Spice Girls,' a 'Girl Power'-filled song and dance extravaganza paying tribute to the Fab Five. The 9:30PM concert is musically directed by Benjamin Rauhala, directed by Kyle Fox, and produced by Shoshana Feinstein.

Stefanie Brown, Lesley McKinnell and Stephanie Torns Set for GLITTER AND BE GREEN at the Beechman, 1/14

On Monday, January 14th at 9:30 three Wicked alumni will present Glitter and Be Green, an intimate cabaret at the Laurie Beechman Theater. The evening, starring Stefanie Brown, Lesley McKinnell, and Stephanie Torns, will feature plenty of trios, medleys and mash-ups, including many Stephen Schwartz tunes, musical theater classics, Disney favorites, and fun pop tunes.

When it first played the Pantages in 2005, it broke box office records and sold out in record time. WICKED returned two years later to begin an extended engagement that would go on to run two years, becoming one of the longest-running Broadway musicals in L.A. history.
