Black Mountain College Museum + Arts Center will host a three-night event series this fall featuring Aphorisms: A Tribute to Ursula Mamlok with New Chamber Ballet and a Momenta Quartet tribute to Stefan Wolpe and John Cage. Presented in conjunction with Points in Space: Performance at Black Mountain College, the programs celebrate the College’s lasting impact on dance and music.

Black Mountain College Museum + Arts Center will present Points in Space: Performance at Black Mountain College, September 5, 2025–January 10, 2026. Featuring historic figures like John Cage, Merce Cunningham, and Robert Rauschenberg alongside new performances and public programs, the exhibition explores BMC’s radical influence on avant-garde performance.

New York Composers Circle will present a Celebration of Contemporary Masters concert on Wednesday, May 18 at 7:00 PM at Church of the Transfiguration ('Little Church Around the Corner'), 1 East 29th Street in Manhattan.

This May, the YIVO Institute for Jewish Research is hosting Continuing Evolution: Yiddish Folksong Today, a music festival featuring four concerts which cross stylistic boundaries between classical music and folk performance. The festival features the premiere of more than twelve newly commissioned classical works alongside a wealth of lesser-known compositions from YIVO's archival collections, and performances by over thirty musical artists.

On December 31 at 7 pm ET, 92Y will ring in 2021 with the streaming premiere An 80th Birthday Celebration of Songwriter Mike Stoller, a Lyrics & Lyricists Special Event from 2013. This magical concert will be released for the first time and available for free to audiences beyond the 900 people who packed the concert hall that night. 

Third Street Music School Settlement presents 20-21 Vision- their annual new music festival that traces the heritage of contemporary composers through links to the great 20th century masters. This year the focus is on Paul Hindemith, who, like Third Street, is celebrating his 125th anniversary. Composer and Hindemith student Yehudi Wyner will be on hand to discuss Hindemith's legacy, his influence on his own work and on others. Mr. Wyner will be among the performers is a concert of his music spanning seven decades.
