'A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum,' the widely acclaimed, multiple Tony Award-winning musical, will open at the Miami Beach Stage Door Theatre at the Byron Carlyle on Friday, October 14, with matinee and evening performances through November 13.

Entering its third month at the Byron Carlyle Theatre, the Miami Beach Stage Door Theatre presents Neil Simon's award-winning comedy 'The Prisoner of Second Avenue,' opening Friday, November 11 through November 26. The production replaces 'A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum' on the season schedule.

The first play to be featured will be MURDER ON GIN LANE by Tony Finstrom. Wayne Rudisill will direct the reading and the all-star cast will include Jeffrey Bruce, soon to be seen in JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECNICOLOR DREAMCOAT at the Maltz Jupiter Theatre; Iris Acker, the host of the local Beacon TV series Onstage with iris Acker; Beth Holland, New York actress and local Board of Directors President of The Symphony of the Americas; and Ms. McArt, who is widely recognized as the First Lady of Florida's Musical Theatre.

In the Stage Door version, Isabelle is being played by New York actress Laura Kaldis. The play is a heart warming comedy about modern times clashing with old world traditions.
