Axis Theatre Company will present the 21st annual production of its beloved family holiday show, Seven in One Blow, or the Brave Little Kid. Adapted from the classic fairy tale by The Brothers Grimm, this festive, interactive winter play runs December 2–18 and is written and directed by Axis Artistic Director Randy Sharp.

After a thrilling inaugural festival in 2021, JACK returns to its DIY roots for their annual performance festival: Radical Acts. From November 9 - 19 JACK will be home to all things radical — radical joy, radical mayhem, radical vulnerability, and radical confrontations with today's pressing issues.

Soho Rep has announced a one-week extension, to November 20, of its nearly-sold-out world premiere production of Montag, written by Kate Tarker (THUNDERBODIES at Soho Rep; Dionysus Was Such a Nice Man) and directed by Dustin Wills (Wolf Play, presented by Soho Rep & Ma-Yi Theater Company; Frontières Sans Frontières).

Spoleto Festival USA General Director and CEO Mena Mark Hanna have announced the appointments of Brent Dickman (Chief Financial Officer), Dexter Foxworth (Chief Operating Officer), Liz Keller-Tripp (Lead Producer), and Katharine Laidlaw (Chief Marketing Officer), to the Festival’s executive team. The latest hires will join the Festival’s Chief Advancement Officer Julia Forster, who has overseen Spoleto’s tireless fundraising arm for more than 25 years.

American Modern Opera Company (AMOC) and The Cathedral of St. John the Divine present contemporary composer John Adams' El Niño: Nativity Reconsidered with libretto by Peter Sellars and concept by Julia Bullock on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at 7:30pm at The Cathedral Church of St. John the Divine, 1047 Amsterdam Avenue, (at 112th Street) in Manhattan.

An onstage award presentation immediately following the October 30 matinee performance of Poulenc's Dialogues of the Carmelites honored three cherished artists whose careers with San Francisco Opera each span over three decades. Mezzo-soprano Catherine Cook, who was Mother Jeanne in the afternoon's performance, and bass-baritone Dale Travis, who portrayed Marquis de la Force, were joined onstage by bass-baritone Philip Skinner to each receive the San Francisco Opera Medal.

Soho Rep will present Montag, written by Kate Tarker, directed by Dustin Wills and with original opera music by Daniel Schlosberg. The world premiere production of Montag runs October 12–November 13 at Soho Rep.

Ars Nova and PlayCo will present the world premiere of HOUND DOG by 2019 Ars Nova resident artist Melis Aker. Directed by Machel Ross with music by Aker and the Lazours, this cross-cultural jam-session-meets-play explores the winding path towards forgiveness and belonging.

Axis Theatre Company will present the return of Washington Square, a contemporary take on Henry James’s novel. Adapted and directed by Randy Sharp, the production features original music by Paul Carbonara, a cast of four, and is performed in the heart of Greenwich Village, a few blocks from the story’s 19th-century setting.

Baryshnikov Arts Center presents Owls, a self-described “new kind of quartet,” on Monday, October 17 and Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at 7:30 p.m. at its Howard Gilman Performance Space.

OPERA America announces its latest support of women composers with Commissioning Grants to seven opera companies across the country through its Opera Grants for Women Composers program.

Acclaimed singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist  Rhiannon Giddens will join Resident Conductor Christopher James Lees and the Charlotte Symphony for the CSO’s annual Gala on Saturday, November 5, 2022.

Roundabout Theatre Company has announced the newest addition to the artistic team: Directing Fellow Mack Brown. Brown is the fifth Roundabout Directing Fellow. This season they will assist on multiple Roundabout productions, and work with the theatre's artistic team as a script reader and on developing two projects of their choosing.

The Andes Dance Collective, founded by dancer/choreographers Gloria McLean, Columbine Macher, David Capps and composer/performer Marshall Coid, presents the DELAWARE COUNTY 2ND DANCE FILM FESTIVAL AND WORKSHOP, bringing new dance and music events to the Catskills Delaware County region.  This year, in two 4-day weekends, July 21-24 and August 4-7, the Festival will include two live dance/music performances (premieres), film screenings, and dance workshops.

The George London Foundation for Singers presents three events at The Morgan Library & Museum in the 2022-23 season: the 51st annual George London Foundation Competition for American and Canadian opera singers, one of the opera world's most prestigious competitions, and two recitals showcasing recent winners: rising stars mezzo-soprano Raehann Bryce-Davis and baritone Benjamin Taylor, who both won their George London Awards in 2018.
