The December issue of Opera News celebrates two current Metropolitan Opera productions: the centennial revival of Puccini's La Fanciulla del West, starring "cover girl" Deborah Voigt, and Nicholas Hytner's staging of Don Carlo, Verdi's most ambitious opera.

Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director) in association with David Pugh & Dafydd Rogers and Cineworld has announced the full Broadway company for Kneehigh Theatre's production of Noël Coward's Brief Encounter, adapted and directed by Emma Rice.

Spoleto Festival USA 2010 came to a close on Sunday with strong attendance at the Festival Finale at Middleton Place. Despite temperatures soaring in the upper 90s, more than 3,000 people attended the annual event, which featured a Carolina Chocolate Drops concert followed by fireworks over the historic Ashley River plantation.
