Continuing the artist's engagement with complex social and political issues, this exhibition also explores Rhode's notions of permanence and ephemerality as seen through his unique marks and gestures. In addition to a selection of photographic works and wall drawings, Rhode will premiere a new animation created specifically for his Hong Kong exhibition. The 2014-2015 season of 'Concerts from the Library of Congress' brings a stellar roster of performers, ensembles and scholars from around the world in commemoration of the 150th birthday of founding patron Elizabeth Sprague Coolidge. The concerts are complemented by guest speakers, curators, panels, film screenings and displays of rarely seen manuscripts, letters and memorabilia from the Library's holdings. Concerts kick off Saturday, Oct. 11, at 8 p.m. with a performance by gospel and soul music legend Mavis Staples.

This August, The Times Square Advertising Coalition (TSAC) and Times Square Arts, in collaboration with the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, present a reenactment of Alfredo Jaar's iconic 1987 intervention in Times Square, A Logo for America. This Midnight Moment will premiere just before midnight on Friday, August 1st, and play every night throughout the month from 11:57 p.m. to midnight on 15 signs and 45 screens in Times Square. The video is part of the exhibition Under the Same Sun: Art from Latin America Today, presented in connection with the Guggenheim UBS MAP Global Art Initiative, and on view at the Guggenheim Museum through October 1, 2014.

From June 13 through October 1, 2014, the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York will present the exhibition Under the Same Sun: Art from Latin America Today, which, along with in-depth education programs and online learning tools, inaugurates the second phase of the Guggenheim UBS MAP Global Art Initiative. Organized by Pablo León de la Barra, Guggenheim UBS MAP Curator, Latin America, the exhibition features contemporary works by 40 artists and collaborative duos representing 15 countries, including Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Panama, Peru, Puerto Rico (United States), Uruguay, and Venezuela. Following its presentation in New York, Under the Same Sun: Art from Latin America Today will travel to Museu de Arte Moderna de São Paulo (MAM) and Museo Jumex in Mexico City.
