BEAUTIFUL Goes Abroad! Opens at West End's Aldwych Theatre in February and Launches US Tour in Fall 2015

Producers Paul Blake and Sony/ATV Music Publishing announced today that the Tony Award-winning hit Beautiful-The Carole King Musical, about the early life and career of the legendary and groundbreaking singer/songwriter, will expand across America and the world in 2015. The West End production of Beautiful will begin previews on February 10, 2015 in the West End at London's Aldwych Theatre, with an official opening night set for February 25, 2015. The First American National Tour of Beautiful will launch in September 2015, beginning at the Providence Performing Arts Center (PPAC) in Providence, Rhode Island (September 15-20, 2015); a 12-week limited engagement at the Oriental Theatre in Chicago, IL (December 1, 2015 - February 21, 2016); and will play the Hollywood Pantages in Los Angeles, CA; DPAC, Durham Performing Arts Center in Durham, NC in October 2015; and Blumenthal Performing Arts Center in Charlotte, NC, among other cities across the country.

Orlando Shakespeare Theater's PlayFest to Run 11/1-3

Orlando Shakespeare Theater in Partnership with UCF dares audiences to take a risk on new plays at PlayFest from November 1 - 3, 2014. Presented by Harriett's Charitable Trust, the fast-paced weekend is packed with lively discussions, engaging playwright panels, and new play readings, along with a keynote speech from playwright Mark St. Germain (Freud's Last Session and The Best of Enemies)?. This season's event marks the twelfth festival of new plays at the Theater. Tickets to individual PlayFest readings ($5) will be available to the general public on Tuesday, September 30. Azuka Theatre's 2014-15 to Include 'WATSON INTELLIGENCE,' MOON CAVE & More

Azuka Theatre kicks off its 15th season with the Philadelphia Premiere of a 2014 Pulitzer Prize Finalist, continues with a World Premiere by the theatre's current playwright in residence, and closes with another Philadelphia Premiere. Azuka performs on its home stage at the Off-Broad Street Theater at First Baptist Church 1636 Sansom Street. Subscriptions are $45-$75. There is a $35 subscription available for patrons 35 and under. 59E59 Theaters presents the second show in the inaugural 5A Season with the New York premiere of BAUER, written by Lauren Gunderson and directed by Bill English. Leddy Center Offers Mini-Musical Classes For 5- & 6-Year-Olds

Come, be a star at Leddy Center School!! Registration is going on now for fall classes and private lessons which will begin the week of September 8. We offer classes in Mini-Musical Theater, for the little ones (ages 5 & 6), taught by Lauren DeCloux on Thursdays from 3:30 to 4:20. In this fun and exciting class students will be introduced to various theatre games and performing on all levels. Students will learn valuable acting techniques and have the opportunity to do a lot of singing and dancing as well! The students will perform in a mini musical on the Leddy Center stage at the end of the session.

Audience response to Pigs Do Fly Productions' first outing, Fifty Plus -- A Celebration of Life... As We Know It confirmed what the company's producer and artistic director, Ellen Wacher already knew - that the short, humorous plays she and her production team chose to present last May in Ft. The show sold out at Empire Stage, and sold even more tickets than anticipated when it ran for eight 'encore' performances in Boca Raton in August. World Premiere of Richard Schechner's IMAGINING O Set for 9/10-13 at Peak Performances

Watch out! Richard Schechner returns, armed with another series of shocks and surprises: the world premiere of "Imagining O" at Peak Performances, September 10-13. Transforming the notoriously erotic French novel "Story of O" into a multi-site, immersive production, the 80 year-old director's most recent work promises to reaffirm Peak's commitment to the ultra and outre challenge, and the director's reputation for creating uncomfortable joy in his audiences.
