Chautauqua Theater Company (CTC), under the leadership of Vivienne Benesch Artistic Director and Sarah Clare Corporandy Managing Director, celebrates the 10th year of The New Play Workshop, with a staged reading of The Guadalupe by Carol Carpenter (Sweet, Sweet Spirit and Wild Dogs) from July 31-August 2, directed by CTC Resident Director Ethan McSweeny.

Sundance Institute today announced the acting company and creative advisors that are participating in its 2014 Theatre Lab, which is now taking place and runs through July 27 at the Sundance Resort in Utah. The Lab is the centerpiece of the Institute's year-round work with the theatre community and is one of 10 residential Labs hosted by Sundance Institute this summer, collectively representing 15 weeks of residency support and mentorship for the most promising new independent theatre and film projects from the United States and around the world.

INTAR today announced that Adoration of the Old Woman by Jose Rivera and directed by Patricia McGregor, starring Raul Castillo (HBO's 'Looking'), Danielle Davenport, Jose Joaquin Perez, Socorro Santiago and Carmen Zilles, will continue through for another week, through April 27th to accommodate overwhelming demand.

There's a marked difference between a tragedy and a wallow, and Scorched falls on the wrong side of that divide early and often. Lucky Star written by Ted Sod and Edie Demas will be read on Monday, January 28th at 7pm at Theater for the New City, 155 First Avenue (between 9th and 10th Streets) New York, NY 10003. Lucky Star is about Jill, a 16-year-old suburban rebel from Piscataway, NJ with an overactive imagination, who has been parented by an ex-drag queen turned florist named Coco Dependent.
