Isango Ensemble's A MAN OF GOOD HOPE to Make U.S. Premiere at BAM

In a co-production with the Young Vic-which partnered with Isango on 2014's Olivier Award-winning The Magic Flute-the company adapts for the stage South African native Jonny Steinberg's 2015 book about a Somali refugee's journey from Mogadishu to Johannesburg and finally to the US.

CURSED CHILD, THE FLICK, NO MAN'S LAND Lead Evening Standard Theatre Awards Longlist

The Evening Standard Theatre Awards, established in 1955, are presented annually for outstanding achievements in London Theatre, and this year's nominations longlist has just been announced. Sponsored by the Evening Standard newspaper, this year's shortlist will be revealed on October 24, and winners on November 13, 2016.

BWW Review: YERMA, Young Vic

Australian theatre's 'enfant terrible' Simon Stone, whose 2014 version of Ibsen's The Wild Duck at the Barbican memorably starred a live duck, has returned to take on Lorca's 1934 'tragic poem'. If some of the elemental lyricism has been lost in this updating, which trades rural Spain for contemporary London, it's a small price to pay for a raw, searing work that builds to a shattering climax.

The Hayloft Project to Bring ARDEN V ARDEN to Northcote Town Hall, Nov 20-Dec 8

Before the company relocates to Sydney, The Hayloft Project will update the Elizabethan murder mystery Arden of Faversham in their Melbourne swan song Arden v Arden at Northcote Town Hall from Wednesday 20 November - Sunday 8 December, 2013. Supported by Darebin Council as part of their year-round independent theatre program Darebin Arts Speakeasy, Arden v Arden is a world-premiere production that reimagines the real-life murder of Thomas Arden, who was killed by his wife Alice and her lover in the mid-1500s.

2011 Sydney Theatre Awards Winners Announced

At a ceremony last night, the winners of the 2011 Sydney Theatre Awards were announced. Over 300 members of the Sydney theatre community packed the auditorium at Paddington RSL to celebrate the best of Sydney theatre throughout 2011.
