Rose Theatre Kingston has officially announced the centerpiece of their ten-year anniversary will be Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing, a Rose co-production with Granville & Parham Productions and antic face. Mel Giedroyc stars as Beatrice, reuniting with director Simon Dormandy following Luce at Southwark Playhouse in 2016.

Complicite today announces programming for 2018 in January the company will stage a reimagined version of A Pacifist's Guide to the War on Cancer, its collaboration with performance artist Bryony Kimmings. Lyric Unlimited has announced casting for the Chicago premiere of Fellow Travelers. Tenor Jonas Hacker and baritone Joseph Lattanzi will sing the lead roles of Timothy Laughlin and Hawkins Fuller, two men who fall in love during the height of the McCarthy era in 1950s Washington D.C. Devon Guthrie will sing the role of Mary Johnson, Hawkins's assistant and Timothy's confidante.

The eagerly awaited Playground Theatre has launched a fundraising initiative to help fit out the venue with state of the art equipment, ready for its opening in October this year. 

After nearly 20 years leading the internationally focused Lincoln Center Festival, Director Nigel Redden announced today that the 2017 Festival will be his last. He will step down in September to concentrate on the artistic expansion of the annual Spoleto Festival USA in Charleston, South Carolina, where he serves as general director, as well as other global artistic projects.

The Huntington Theatre Company's annual Summer Workshop will start rehearsals on July 11 and conclude in public readings of four new plays on July 22 and 23, 2017. The workshop allows selected members of the Huntington Playwriting Fellows program two weeks to focus on developing new plays. The workshop and public readings will take place in the South End at the Huntington's Stanford Calderwood Pavilion at the Boston Center for the Arts, 527 Tremont Street, Boston.
