The Broadway Bound Vista Theatre Project (BBVTP) presents the South Carolina premiere of Lost in My Wonderland, a new full-length musical adaptation of Alice in Wonderland, August 2-5 in Cardinal Newman School's Anna Tronco Williams Performing Arts Center, 2945 Alpine Road in Columbia (29223).

Steven Spielberg's Amblin Television announced today that it has optioned the rights to Elaine Weiss's critically-acclaimed book, The Woman's Hour, and will develop it as a long-form project for premium cable or streaming platforms.

Tony Award winner Alice Ripley will return to The Green Room 42 in an encore performance of her acclaimed show "Ripley Prescription" on Saturday, August 18 at 7:00 PM. Featuring everything from pop/rock hits to musical theatre standards, this one night only engagement is a rare opportunity to experience an extraordinary evening of storytelling and song by a performer the NY Daily News called "a musical theatre legend." The Wall of Respect was a mural created in 1967 by Chicago artists representing the Organization of Black American Culture. It fostered Black pride, revitalized the neighborhood and gave birth to a national community mural movement. Some 49 years later, the Wall no longer exists having burnt with the building it was painted on. However, historic photos of the iconic wall were powerful enough to inspire a project in Kansas City that has engaged more than 150 people of all ages and ethnicities from every area of the metro area.

Civic Ensemble completes this year's Civic Acts repertory with a World Premiere of Saviana Stanescu's Bee Trapped Inside The Window opening tonight at 8:30pm at the Black Box Theatre @ LACS, 111 Chestnut Street, Ithaca NY. Stanescu's play, a Civic Commission, is a meditation on loneliness, identity and complicity that examines modern day domestic slavery's impact on the lives of three ethnically diverse women in the leafy suburbs of Connecticut. The production, directed by the actor/director Vernice P. Miller (All God's Chillun Got Wings), features Janilya Baizack, Sarah K. Chalmers (Slashes of Light), and Erin Lockett.
