On July 6, 2018, Glam Award winner Sutton Lee Seymour and Bistro Award-winning Cacophony Daniels (aka Jersey Boys's Courter Simmons) will open their brand new show, Bedraggled Broadway, at the legendary cabaret venue, Don't Tell Mama.

HAK premieres in New York City as a part of HB Studio Rehearsal Space Residency. After being staged in several cities in Europe and Turkey, HAK will be performed in English for the first time.

The year is 1929, and Tampa-based cigar rollers Marela and Ofelia anxiously await the arrival of their new, dashingly handsome "lectore." Anna in the Tropics is written by Nilo Cruz and won the Pulitzer Prize for drama in 2003. The play centers around the common Cuban tradition in which lectors are employed by cigar factories to educate and entertain the workers through the reading of novels. The arrival of a new lector is a cause for celebration, but when he begins to read aloud from Anna Karenina, he unwittingly becomes a catalyst in the lives of his avid listeners, for whom Tolstoy, the tropics, and the American dream prove a volatile combination.

WP THEATER announces the 15 artists selected for the 2018-2020 WP Lab. The two-year residency begins in late August and culminates with the biennial WP Pipeline Festival.

Disney Digital Network today premiered the latest special from "Club Mickey Mouse" featuring two new songs, original dance videos, and a cameo appearance from former Mouseketeer, JC Chasez. In the special, the Mouseketeers celebrate the end of summer before heading back to "Club Mickey High School" under the surprise leadership of "Principal Chasez." Walt Disney Records will distribute both singles,  "Summer is a Vibe" and "Ready Set Go," and music videos through online music stores.

American superstar comic and award-winning actor Chris Tucker announces he is returning to the UK to perform a limited five shows later this year. In his first shows since his UK debut in 2012, this tour will see the stand up bring his brand new live comedy show to Birmingham (Arena Birmingham), Manchester (O2 Apollo), Glasgow (SEC Armadillo) and two London shows at the Eventim Apollo this autumn.

Written by Florida playwright Lindsey Ferrentino, Innovocative Theatre brings a searing drama to Stageworks Theatre. Ugly Lies the Bone tells the story of a severely wounded female war veteran in 2011 attempting to start a new life after a third tour in Afghanistan. She faces struggles after returning to her home in Titusville, Florida. She's endured intense pain from both her injuries and the surgeries that followed, and uses virtual reality therapy for pain management to begin to emotionally heal herself.

The Wall of Respect was a mural created in 1967 by Chicago artists representing the Organization of Black American Culture. It fostered Black pride, revitalized the neighborhood and gave birth to a national community mural movement. Some 49 years later, the Wall no longer exists having burnt with the building it was painted on. However, historic photos of the iconic wall were powerful enough to inspire a project in Kansas City that has engaged more than 150 people of all ages and ethnicities from every area of the metro area.

The National Civil Rights Museum (NCRM) will host an award-winning lineup of spoken word artists at its Drop the Mic Poetry Slam and Poetry Symposium on August 17 - 18. Both events are free and open to the public and are designed to stimulate youth participation in modern community dialogue and grassroots activism centered on the social justice legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Last night, in their 97th Season, The Chatham Community Players performed the closing show of their 24th Annual 'Jersey Voices' showcase which consists of one-act plays by New Jersey Playwrights.

Jersey Voices explores the joys of live, original theater in The Chatham Playhouse, where Jersey Voices has provided a venue for New Jersey playwrights to showcase their work since 1995. There's a risk in coming to see any author's new work, whether you've heard of them before or not. It's brave and courageous, and we're grateful our audience trusts us enough to share the experience. Jersey Voices has presented the work of more than 75 authors in their 24 years. "I'm constantly amazed by the talent and creativity of the Playwrights of New Jersey whose plays we get to present every summer", said Co-Producer, Bob Denmark. "The plays this year run the gamut from comedy to heart gripping drama, and the themes cover many aspects of life such as loss, fear and unconditional love."

The acclaimed revival of Rodgers & Hammerstein's classic musical Carousel, directed by three-time Tony Award® winner Jack O'Brien and choreographed by 2018 Tony Award winner Justin Peck, announced today that the show will play its final Broadway performance at the Imperial Theatre (249 West 45th Street) on Sunday, September 16, 2018. Preview performances began on Wednesday, February 28 and Carousel officially opened on Thursday, April 12, 2018.
