CCT closes it's rockin' season opener while Town and VST get their seasons rolling with some classic musicals!

Touch The Sky, a benefit performance in support of Shane's Inspiration, https://shanesinspiration.org/ the L.A. based organization that has created a network of over 68 inclusive playgrounds worldwide, has added Oscar winner J.K. Simmons to an already all-star roster that now includes The New York Children's Chorus. The evening, which is honoring the legendary Chita Rivera, takes place Monday, October 1st at 7:30 p.m. at Zankel Hall - Carnegie Hall.

The 2018 Season continues on high note this fall with the epic Broadway musical Man of La Mancha on stage at the Hamilton Family Theatre Cambridge (formerly Dunfield Theatre Cambridge) from October 10 to November 4. This timeless tale of love and redemption starring Artistic Director Alex Mustakas as Don Quixote is sure to enthrall audiences with its enchanting melodies and grand theatrical transformations.

WE tv announced today that its hit Thursday night series, 'Hustle & Soul' has been renewed for a third season, coming off of a highly successful season two that grew viewership compared to the first season of the series. 'Hustle & Soul,' produced by Big Fish Entertainment, an MGM Company, set in and around the famed Pink Teacup soul food restaurant, wrapped up its second season with rare season-over-season growth, increasing its audience by 10% among adults 25-54, 9% among women 25-54 and 7% in total viewers, compared to season one. Additionally, the season two finale episode delivered series highs among women and adults 25-54 in Nielsen Live+3 ratings and made WE tv the #1 cable network among African American women 25-54 for the majority of the season two run.

Teen angst is not something to ignore. Often times, it is the only semblance of emotion that youths exhibit in hopes of finding comfort from others and answers from themselves. Just as these emotions are real, so too is the music that exemplifies these feelings. The combination of these ideas leads us to such musical performances as Green Day's American Idiot at Town Hall Arts Center.

A story of youthful disillusion will be told in the rousing renegade musical "American Idiot," coming to Mercer County Community College's (MCCC's) Kelsey Theatre. Adapted from Green Day's 2004 concept album, the Pennington Players get ready to turn up the volume Fridays, Oct. 5 and 12 at 8 p.m.; Saturdays, Oct. 6 and 13 at 8 p.m.; and Sundays, Oct. 7 and 14 at 2 p.m.

Town Theatre opens its centennial season with the classic production West Side Story - one of the most powerful love stories of all time. Town's production coincides with the 100th birthday of Jerome Robbins, director/choreographer of the original Broadway production of the show.
