TITANIC should not be missed but must close January 29, 2017.

Lynne Meadow (Artistic Director) and Barry Grove (Executive Producer) have announced full casting for Manhattan Theatre Club's American premiere of Linda, a new play by Penelope Skinner (The Ruins of Civilization at MTC, The Village Bike) directed by MTC's award-winning Artistic Director Lynne Meadow (The Assembled Parties, Wit).

As we enter the new year, it is important to remember those we have lost in the preceding twelve months. From actors, to directors, to international pop stars, join us as BroadwayWorld remembers all the great men we lost in 2016.

Award-winning orchestrator and arranger Lynne Shankel has announced that her debut album, 'Bare Naked' will be released on the Yellow Sound Label on Tuesday January 24th.

In 2016, I saw 120+ productions, the majority of which were in the DC Metro Area. The 2016 calendar year offered a slew of memorable theatergoing experiences, but some stand out among the others. As I look forward to what's in store theatrically in 2017, I take a look back at 2016.

In response to popular demand, The Playwrights Realm, by arrangement with Scott Rudin and Eli Bush, have announced two additional matinee performances of The Wolves, Sarah DeLappe's debut play at The Duke on 42nd Street, a New 42nd Street project, today and tomorrow, December 28 and 29 at 3pm.

Signature Theatre presents Titanic, directed by Signature Theatre Artistic Director Eric Schaeffer (Broadway's Gigi, Follies, Million Dollar Quartet), now playing thru January 29. The show features a cast, crew and orchestra of more than 50 artists and an inventive new 360-degree staging in Signature Theatre's intimate 330 seat MAX Theatre. 

The world premiere studio recording of Freaky Friday, the new musical based on the beloved novel by Mary Rodgers and two hit Disney films, will be released by Walt Disney Records on March 10, 2017.

In what has become an annual ritual, a total of 32 established and emerging composers, lyricists, and librettists will converge on the Goodspeed campus from mid-January through mid-February 2017 to participate in the Johnny Mercer Foundation Writers Colony at Goodspeed Musicals. The writing teams, representing 18 new musicals, will populate the campus, creating a truly exciting environment for discovery and inspiration.
