Take a walk on the wild side! Dressed to impress, Todd Almond steps back into the title role of Ensemble Theatre Cincinnati's season closer Hedwig and the Angry Inch. Written by John Cameron Mitchell with music and lyrics by Stephen Trask, this award-winning rock musical is an innovative, heartbreaking, and wickedly funny story of a gender-crossed glam rocker determined to become a superstar. The regional revival of ETC's 2001 and 2003 hit production is a rocking ride, entertaining, touching, and ultimately inspiring to anyone who has felt life gave them an inch when they deserved a mile. Playing June 5-July 1, 2018. Directed by D. Lynn Meyers. Presented by The Rosenthal Family Foundation and sponsored by LPK.

The co-producers behind The Kilbanes' Weightless, a hit rock opera-retelling of Ovid's Metamorphoses, as well as New York's Obie Award-winning The Tricky Part and Lucille Lortel Award-winning All the Rage, return to San Francisco with a new production of A Lesson From Aloes, to be presented at Z Below. Written by internationally-acclaimed playwright Athol Fugard and directed by Obie Award winner Timothy Near, this inventive revival will feature a star-studded cast of regional theatre's finest actors. A Lesson From Aloes will be presented June 3 - 29, 2018 (press opening: Thursday, June 7, 2018) with performances 7:30pm Wednesdays through Saturdays and 2pm Sundays at Z Below, 470 Florida Street, San Francisco. Legendary playwright, Charles Mee, is turning 80 years and will be celebrated by Cherry Lane Theatre at a benefit performance of FIRST LOVE followed by a blowout bash at Casa La Femme (140 Charles Street). Additionally New York City Council Speaker Corey Johnson will recognize Charles Mee with an official New York City Proclamation for his extraordinary and enduring contributions to the American theatre, on Monday, June 11, 2018 at The Cherry Lane Theatre beginning at 7pm.

PARADISE BLUE Celebrates Final Two Weeks with Student Rush Tickets

Student rush tickets will be offered for the final two weeks of performances of the Signature Theatre production of Paradise Blue by Obie Award-winning playwright Dominique Morisseau and directed by Tony Award-winner Ruben Santiago-Hudson. Student rush tickets will be sold for $30 when the ground floor Box Office opens each day up until performance time. The tickets are only available for purchase in person at 480 West 42nd Street and are subject to availability. Limit two tickets per person. Valid student ID must be presented at the time of purchase.

TodayTix Launches Houston's First Mobile Rush With The Alley Theatre

TodayTix, the international ticketing platform on a mission to redefine the way people experience theater, has partnered with the Alley Theatre to offer the first mobile Rush in Houston on the TodayTix app. The mobile Rush will offer exclusive access to $20 tickets, beginning with the theater's production of "The Cake," running June 1 to July 1, 2018, and continuing with "Holmes and Watson," running June 22 to July 22, 2018.

Indie Series 'Indoor Boys' Starring Wesley Taylor And Alex Wyse Will Return This Month For Season Two

Executive Producers Jim Kierstead (Kinky Boots, Waitress) and Michael Kushner, and producers Jack Sharkey and Tye Blue, announce the return of the Indie Award-winning series 'Indoor Boys' created, directed, and starring Broadway's Wesley Taylor (SpongeBob SquarePants; NBC's 'SMASH') and Alex Wyse (Spring Awakening; Marvel's 'Iron Fist'). With a total of eight new chapters, Season Two premieres June 25, 2018 on HuffPost Queer Voices, with two episodes released each Monday for 4 weeks.

The topics of the distinguished Broadway writing team of John Kander and Fred Ebb's musicals have never been light and frothy. Their first musical Flora the Red Menace deals with the red scare. Cabaret uses Nazi Germany as a backdrop. The Rink deals with family dysfunction in a dilapidated roller rink and, of course, there's Chicago with the shadiness of 1920s Chicago murderesses and the media that fueled them.

Deidrie Henry returns to The Armory to star as Billie Holiday in Lady Day at Emerson's Bar and Grill, Lanie Robertson's riveting portrait of Holiday's life told through an imagined final performance in a small bar in South Philadelphia in 1959. Lady Day at Emerson's Bar and Grill begins preview performances on May 26, opens on June 1, and runs through July 1 on the U.S. Bank Main Stage.
