Fashioned after Sylvia Fine Kaye's Musical Comedy Tonight PBS programs from the 70's, each show highlights songs and stories from 2 or 3 Broadway musicals with a star studded revolving cast. Ricky, last seen on Broadway hailing a cab, will give wry commentary as well as accompanying on the piano.

Sue Matsuki & Gregory Toroian continue their monthly series Coming Home to Mama with If I Could Talk to the Animals - a show chock full of tunes about animals that became standards! Did you know that Sarah Vaughan recorded a song about a frisky lion or that a love song that Diana Krall sings is from Dr. Dolittle and was originally sung to a seal? Or that a song called "The Snake" actually refers to an agent? The special guests for this upcoming performance are the one and only Sidney Myer and legendary bass player Jay Leonhart. This series continues Friday, April 7th at 7 pm at Don't Tell Mama and celebrates Sue and Gregory's 23 years of artistic collaboration.

The show was hosted by Deborah Grace Winer (Artistic Director, Writer & Host), with John Oddo (Music Director) and Mark Waldrop (Stage Director). Joseph Macchia produced his first show in 1997 a show called Gwen Verdon and All Her Jazz, a show his brother Peter had written and starred in. Being bit by the producing bug, Joseph would go on to produce his brother's next show Judy and Me originally a one night solo show at the Duplex, Judy and Me would be turned into a play, and was booked for four nights at Rose's Turn. Where the show would wind up running for two years and then go and tour around the country. After Judy and Me toured the show took a break before returning to New York in an Off Off Broadway Run and then Off Broadway run. From Indonesia's most celebrated director, Garin Nugroho, comes Satan Jawa, a newly commissioned silent feature film steeped in Javanese mythology with a live score by Australia's Iain Grandage and Indonesia's Rahayu Supanggah featuring a thrilling blend of Western symphonic tradition and Indonesian gamelan music. Satan Jawa will be a feature of Asia TOPA and will be performed at Arts Centre Melbourne's Hamer Hall on 24 February 2017.

Bay Area Cabaret continues its acclaimed series at the Venetian Room at Fairmont San Francisco (950 Mason Street atop Nob Hill) with two special shows in March-one a tribute to cabaret as a distinctive art form, and the other a return engagement for two of the most popular Bay Area Cabaret artists. On March 5 at 5:00 pm, A Cabaret Spectacular will celebrate the art of cabaret performance featuring some of the finest cabaret performers from across the nation. Then on March 26 at 7:30 pm, world-renowned guitarist and singer John Pizzarelli and Broadway soprano Jessica Molaskey, return to the Bay Area Cabaret stage with their brand new hit show from Cafe Carlyle in New York.
