TVLine.com reports that Emmy-award winning actress Kathryn Joosten, star of ABC's DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES, died of lung cancer in Westlake Village, CA on Friday, June 1. She was 72.

TVLine.com reports that Tim Daly will not be returning for the 6th season of ABC's popular medical drama PRIVATE PRACTICE. Series creator Shonda Rhimes has reportedly chosen not to renew the actor's contract for next season.
