Announcing Saturday Night Live and Second City Alum, Melanie Hutsell, coming to PRAIRIE-OKE! She is joining the show for THREE WEEKENDS ONLY at the Cavern Club Theater.

Kathy Evans, Founding Executive Director of Rhinebeck Writers Retreat, announced the 17 writers and 8 new musicals selected for the fifth summer of weeklong retreats. For eight consecutive weeks beginning July 5th, each writing team will have a residency in Rhinebeck, New York. Writers are provided a private home, transportation, food, and a $400 stipend. This year's writers include Obie winner Kirsten Childs, Tony nominee Elizabeth Davis, and 2015 Jonathan Larson award-winners Charlie Sohne, Tim Rosser, and Sam Willmott, who also just won the Kleban Prize.

After its sold-out, world-premiere performance at Joe's Pub this past spring, Kenyon Phillips's autobiographical 90-minute rock opera, The Life + Death of Kenyon Phillips, will return to Joe's Pub (425 Lafayette St., New York, NY 10003) tonight, October 24th, 2014, at 7:00PM. Author, playwright and actress Najla Said, who was recently profiled by Vogue, directs.

Following a sold-out engagement last October, Joey Arias returns to Feinstein's at the Nikko for one performance only with an intimate show for piano and voice featuring his music director and pianist Matt Ray on Friday, October 10 at 8 p.m. Ray has served as music director for Arias' sold out residencies at Joe's Pub and resumes this role on Arias' forthcoming Billie Holiday Centennial Concerts in the Spring of 2015. The piano and voice format allows for a high degree of improvisation, allowing these peerless musicians an opportunity to explore the depths of their musical communion. The repertoire includes original songs, unexpected covers and, of course, Arias' signature 'channeling' of Billie Holiday. Theatrical singer, songwriter, actor, writer, model, dancer and DJ, Kenyon Phillips announced today that writer/blogger Michael Musto, writer/performer David Cale, and actor/singer and drag performer Flotilla DeBarge (HBO's Angels in America) will join the cast of the world premiere performance of The Life + Death of Kenyon Phillips. Musto will play the role of Kenyon's therapist, Cale a reporter, and Flotilla will portray Kenyon's ex-girlfriend, Gina. The three join previously announced Daphne Rubin-Vega (Rent, Anna in the Tropics).
