Back Stage Magazine has announced the winners of its Back Stage Bistro Awards which honor excellence in the world of cabaret. The award ceremony will take place on Tuesday, April 28 at the Gotham Comedy Club.
New York Coalition of Professional Women in the Arts & Media will present its biannual Collaboration Awards at a champagne reception at the Gershwin Hotel, 7 East 27th Street, on March 2, 2009, at 6:30pm, Co-Presidents, Erica Silberman & Lisa Barnes announced today. Winners of the $1000 prize are Jennifer Gibbs, author of the play, Sounding & its director, Kristin Marting. Gibbs based the play, currently in workshop at HERE, on Henrik Ibsen's The Lady from the Sea. Marting & Gibbs plan a multi-media production, including film & music.
